Seems to be very well-made. Directions were not particularly good.

Overall a good product however the fastening system leaves a little to be desired. I cracked the plastic in 2 places fastening the crossbars. Very light plastic that cracks during tightening long before the bolts are even tight. Otherwise it’s a decent product that looks good, fits well, and Carrie’s ladders with ease.

This item was best priced at time of purchase on Amazon. It came well packaged and with all mounting hardware. They have been on the 2013 CRV for several years and other than Kayak marring from hauling they are in great shape no issues. They matched the factory rails in color and we are pleased with the results of this purchase!

Installation difficulty as a concept: Novice-IntermediateInstallation difficulty to correct poor manufacturing standards: ExpertThe instructions are somewhat clear for the installation of the roof bars, however, they're non-existent for assembly and installation of the cross bars, it took me several installation attempts to identify the correct hardware and order of assembly. Mis-molding of the parallel bars resulted in the need to modify the mounting holes for the cross bars with a Dremel and other tools. I trudged ahead (knowing the whole time I should have pulled everything back apart and returned the kit), and the finished product is safe and secure. With 10-years of experience as an automotive technician, it was frustrating, but not challenging. I offer this as a guideline for a DIY'er. If you plan to have a professional install, make sure they're patient and willing to go above and beyond. If not, spend the extra money on OEM parts.

Easy to install, fit perfectly to my cr-v 2015, use wd40

Printed instructions are so poorly done that they are worthless. Cross bar bracket holes do not line up to insert bolts you'll have to drill them larger. The plastic rails have plastic that was not cut off and cover some of the bolt holes, so you'll have to cut and shave them to expose the holes. The front cover caps for the rails do not snap in, their retaining tabs break off. This product is just an example of poor workmanship and NO quality control. It took 4 hours to install with all the re-fabrication to make their parts fit.You're better off buying a more expensive genuine Honda rail and crossbar set and save yourself the frustration.

We bought these crossbars for the roof of our car so that we can take our two kayacks to a neighboring lake. They are well made and sturdy. A local hitch business that I have used many times, told me because of a backlog of orders, it would take a month to install and cost $350 more. We ordered it and put it on top of our car IN 3 DAYS TOTAL!! GREAT PRODUCT, GREAT PRICE!!

Looks good instructions are utter poo poo but let me tell you a toddler can put this together very simple long screws go when screwing them to your roof shorter with a washer to put it together and small ones to screw the cover on the inside of them it makes not noise and made with decent quality people are just too sensitive it’s like 80 bucks not crazy expensive
