K1 Micro Media 50 Litres

Seen a few videos online and decided to design a system that suited the ponds needs. 120L barrel, makeshift air manifold, a couple of tank connectors and most importantly 50L of K1 micro. The bubbling video was taken during the cleaning process, I actually use the media static rather than moving bed but I do have the option to use it as a moving bed biological filter once the media is properly matured. So realistically I’m only reviewing this as a mechanical static media for now and it’s absolutely brilliant. It catches all the fines, even those that you’d only see under a microscope and no more taking out stinky media from a box and hosing it off, it’s made maintenance 100 times easier and the filtration is 100 times more efficient. So happy I have switched over to this, should have done it ages ago. If you are thinking about it…. DO IT!
