I’ve got 3 chihuahuas and a black lab, so I’m not stranger to barking 😖😫. I’ve tried the vibrating/shock collar method but when one dog barks the quiet one gets the vibration. (I could not bring myself to use the shock collar. I just could not do it.) anyway that did not work so that was 40 bucks down the drain. I tried something similar to this and it was an orange one that did similar to this, but it did not affect my dogs at all whatsoever. They just barked over it. This was my third attempt, not including trying to reward them with treats for not barking. Anyway, I bought this with low expectations. To my surprise it worked. My Chihuahuas absolutely HATE the noise to the point if I even take it out, they run away from me and shut up. My lab is a little more difficult. She doesn’t like it, but it’s not quite as effective on her, but it does work, just a little more hidden and miss with her. Either way, I definitely would buy it again and definitely would recommend giving it a try. As with everything consistency is key. It is a cinch to use nothing you have to read a pamphlet over you just get it and push the button when they bark. I also appreciate that it comes with has a little wristlet that you can add to it to wear it on your wrist for convenience.

We own 2 German Shepherd siblings that are 9+ years old. GSD's are known to be very talkative. But, they have a tendency to go overboard, especially my female. Her brother has a medical condition, and as he weakens, she is showing signs of separation anxiety, when I leave the room. Her barking has gotten bad. I don't want to discipline her in a negative way, so I wanted to try an ultrasonic noise to break her barking.It's working well, especially considering her age and breed of dog. I'd sat that she's barking 1/2 as much. Sometimes she will react by barking more. I just change the frequency. For the most part, it breaks her concentration on the bark, and she looks curiously at me.Interestingly, it works beautifully when one of our young cats scratch something other than their scratching post. They immediately stop. So, it serves a dual purpose.Due to the nature of these ultrasonic frequencies, it's best to use it in the same room as the animal. I know other units claim to work over longer distances, but the truth is that all of these units work best within 16 feet of the animal.Overall, I find that the unit works very well. It definitely would work better on a younger dog. This is a much better alternative than any type of negative response to barking. Once you break their concentration while barking, it's important to praise then. In dogs with high prey instincts, like German Shepherds, positive reinforcement is crucial.My girl has been barking inappropriately, because of stress. It's important not to add to her stress. I keep it on the lanyard, hanging on my side with my keys. I've only had the unit for about a week or so and I see a big difference. The bonus is that it works very well on the cats when they scratch inappropriately.

This AHWHG stop dog barking device is incredible! Our neighbors dog barked incessantly, after several conversations with them about the fact we couldn't even sit in our own backyard much less be out in it doing something, they tried to keep the dog inside but when they worked he was lift out for up to 12hrs a day, hence we had to endure the CONSTANT barking. I tried talking to the dog to calm him but my voice over the fence just incited more. I purchased this remote and ONLY had to use it about 6 times before the dog got the message. I prefaced it by saying the dogs name and the word "QUIET" and when he continued to bark I hit the button once and he ran away from the fence and stopped barking, I only had to do this on about 6 different occasions and NOW when he starts to bark ALL I have to do is say "FIDO QUIET" and he stops barking, I don't even NEED the controller because he associates the word command with the unpleasant sonic buzz. Works like a CHARM! Shared it with my bro-in-law for the same problem and he said it worked perfectly for his situation too! Great product for us, HIGHLY recommend, AAAHHH, peace & quiet AT LAST.
