It doesn't come with instructions, but most of what you need to know is right on the listing. Once switched on, it only works when the sensor sees light, and immediately quits when dark again. It does have 8mb of memory and acts like a flash drive when you plug it into the computer (using the included cable). After you delete the pre-installed sample song, you can put any amount of songs up to 8mb. COMPRESS YOUR FILES if you want to put on multiple songs! (You can do that by ripping them again to lower quality, or going online to sites that do it free with a quick upload, compression, then download.) The speaker is okay (better than the kind in musical greeting cards, but nothing fancy), and lower quality mp3 files will be sufficient. I put four songs on mine and it works great. I had to play around to figure out how to play the songs in a particular order-- You need to RENAME the entire file title to "1", "2", etc. if you want them to play in that order. Any other effort with using lead numbers, or multiple letters, or anything else doesn't work for this. Once I just made them "1" ,"2", "3", "4", my songs played in exactly that order. It will ALWAYS restart at #1 song after it goes dark and back to light. But it only plays through your song(s) one time and stops until you reset it (dark, then light again). The on/off switch is labeled, but the volume is not; it's just a tiny slider near the one battery on the opposite side of the panel from the on/off & micro usb port. All-in-all, this little thing is pretty nifty, does well considering its size, and worth the money. I got this one to put inside of a gift box and it will play when the gift is opened. It has adhesive on the back so it can be stuck easily inside. Except for fussing around with the song order thing, it took about one minute to delete their file and transfer mine. Very easy to use! Your PC will automatically install the driver, so there's little to do. Thumbs up!

I was very impressed with this little device. So much so that I bought a few more. Ended up making different gift boxes for Christmas each with a light sensor audio module. It took some creativity to make it so the modules were hidden and the light sensor was positioned but worth the effort. The audio level is also quite clear and the device is really easy to use. I never had any issue connecting to my computer. My only complaint would be that once I moved a track onto the device, it seemed that I could not replace it. I could delete the track and add a new one BUT the space would not become free from the deleted track. Almost like once the space was used, that was it. Maybe it was me but seems like these cannot be reused for multiple events.

So someone gave me a R2D2 Star Wars trash can that has a lid that opens with a foot pedal. We have a Star Wars themed kitchen and as of yet, we have not really decided what to use the trash can for, so we just store plastic shopping bags in it for the moment. But I thought it would be really cool to have it make droid noises when you step on the pedal and open the lid. It seems to work perfect! My only wish is that you could put multiple sound files on it, and then have them play randomly each time you open the lid. I'm sure something out there can do that, but I haven't found a way to do that with this device. Still, I can swap out the sounds when I want to change them, and that's fine. Now I am thinking about getting them for other areas of the kitchen, so when you open our pantry door, it can make that sliding door sounds from Star Wars as well. Too cool! I'll update my review depending on how long it lasts, I JUST got it today.

Small speaker but quite loud. Easy to operate. No complaints. Would definitely buy again.

This is is super fragile, and I was as careful as one could be. When I first got it, I connected it to my pc and got detected by Windows. I downloaded a few mp3 songs(like 12), and loaded them to the device. Everything good until then, but when I powered it via the 5v (non rechargeable battery port), it did power on, the power LED powered on and the device played a 5 second sound(I'm assuming this is like a power on notification), and after that nothing played. I then thought maybe I did something wrong, maybe it is not compatible with MP3 after all, and so I tried to hook it up to my PC again but this time it did not get detected no matter what I did, I tried different cables, different PCs and it just can't be detected again. The device still works as previously described, It powers on, plays power-on sound, and then nothing happens(by the way the volume controls seems to work fine).So don't waste your money on this piece of garbage, buy an alternative to this thing.

The media could not be loaded.  I am a geek so figuring how to use this was no problem.I LOVE that it is rechargeable.I used this for my project and I was amazed had how many sound files I could store on it.I left it loud and the design I had for my base, this speaker will be behind some felt so I wanted it somewhat louder. And this fit the bill!I was making A Christmas Story House Snow Globe and I wanted to add sound clips from the movie so I did allot of sound editing from the movie.I uploaded them onto the sound board, and then I measured the dimensions and created a base (Red base) for my snow globe to mount this into.I made the base with my 3D printer, and there are some modifications that I needed to tweak a bit on my model, but this sound board fit in perfectly and I have access to the charging port.Thin, good sound, rechargeable and lots of storage for what I needed.I had to solder and add more length to the speaker wires because they are just an few inches too short. I wish they were longer.So, these pictures show my first print, a rough test. I was off a little on the charging port which I will fix. But this sound board is amazing and I bought it again and I will buy more.After I make some changes the 2nd one will come out better.

Not that great. To get audio onto the board, you use a USB cable. The USB connector on the board is poor quality and I had to twist it and hold it to keep the connection active so music would download

Al grabar por segunda vez no me lo aceptaba en sistema operativo windos 10, ni borrar ni formatear hasta que lo pude hacer por medio del programa gratuito de WinToolsPartition... Las pilas son recargables, creo que seria mejor una bateria recargable mas grande.... El sonido magnifico y claro, mejora bastante con adaptacion de caja con resonancia..

The media could not be loaded.  Me encantó, lo compré para hacer una melody box casera para el auto siguiendo un tutorial de youtube. Funciona perfecto. Incluso le pude agregar un modulo LED. Mas que satisfecho con la compra 10/10.

Die Lieferung war von heute auf morgen, also extrem schnell. Das Soundmodul hat leider keine Beschreibung dabei. Die Beschreibung findet man bei Amazon unterhalb der Artikelbeschreibung. Es wäre schön gewesen wenn ein Hinweis oder 2D Code zur Bedienungsanleitung geführt hätte. Das Modul braucht noch eine Versorgungsbatterie, ich habe getestet von 3,7V bis 4,5V passt es. Ein Batteriehalter für 3 Stück AA ist gut dafür aber nicht im Lieferumfang. Ich habe eine Batterie mit 4,5V angeschlossen und den Auslöser gedrückt und ein chinesisches Lied spielt ab. Ein mitgeliefertes USB Kabel lässt sich am PC und Modul anschließen und wie bei einem USB Stick erscheint das Modul als Wechsellaufwerk. Die vorhandene mp3 datei lässt sich löschen und eine neue mp3 Datei aufspielen. Der Klang aus dem kleinen Lautsprecher hat Telefonqualität. Der Speicher des Moduls reicht gut für ein Lied zB Cheri Cheri Lady oder auch eine eigene aufgenommene Ansage oder Melodie.Bis auf die Stromversorgung bzw. Batterie braucht man kein Werkzeug.
