MS sufferers need this book!
This is the greatest book for someone with MS. It helped me get in touch with my disease and it's given me lots of information to deal with it mentally. I suggest that anyone with MS should purchase it. I've been reading it a little at a time - especially at doctors' visits and periods of rest. One of my best book purchases and one that will last me the rest of my MS life!

One of the most important books to read about MS
This book was really well written and covered the whole spectrum of information about MS. It was easy to understand and had many useful ways to handle all the feelings that come with being diagnosed with a chronic illness. The only complaint I have is that it was written in 2005 and there have been many advances since then. An update would be even more helpful. Thanks for writing this book!

excellent
this book provides the person with MS or their caregiver with much needed information on emotions, thought problems, communications, and other areas in which MS symptoms affect functioning. it is well-written and quite easy to read. it offers a nice summary of functioning as well as a few strategies for managing the different symptoms. i found that this book is a good augmentation to the MS Workbook, which provides a more comprehensive background and worksheets than the current book. several times, the author stated something that i hadn't read before, and i wanted to read the original source, but none were provided. i only discovered about one dozen typographical errors, no errors of fact or grammar. this is a very good book for the non-clinician and non-academic.

A must have
MS and Your Feelings is a must for anyone dealing with the ravages of MS. Even if your MS is following a relatively benign course, the emotions associated with loss around a chronic disease, plus the loss of cognitive functions, memory, and emotional stability associated with the disease itself make this book timely and helpful. I've read it through twice already - first when first diagnosed, and again when my emotions were getting out of control.Filled with good, sensible information and encouragement, it's a keeper, for frequent revisiting. If you buy one book about the emotional changes of MS, this should be the book.

Confirmation of Feelings and Symptoms, Some Common Sense Tips, Prmarily Female Oriented
I have had MS for who knows how long--Dx'd with RRMS 10 years ago. I found this book helpfull in that it confirms feelings and symptoms that I have. I also believe that it has some helpful hints on how to cope with the day-to-day issues that arise from living with MS.The only criticism I have would be that it is primarily female oriented. Not a fault, but would like to find a similar book from a male point of view.Having said that--it is the best book that I have read on the subject.

M S information
I was recently found out I have MS. At 76 my world suddenly changed from an active guy to one who barely copes with this health issue. This book is a mental life saver. I thought I was alone with this issue until I read of others who are dealing with this and since the author has MS herself, what she tells is from real life. Well written and worth so much to those of us who are trying to deal with a disease we will always have.

MS and your Feelings
This book is absolutely amazing, I have recently been diagnosed with MS and have found processing it extremely difficult, this book is the first I have found that I relate to and explains things in a way that I can digest. Allison Shaddy writes in a way that breaks down all the feelings that I am having and helps you through them. I would highly recommend this book for people who have MS along with anyone that knows someone with MS.

Necessary reading for those with and about Multiple Sclerosis.........
People with MS have to listen and deal with their feeling every day.... not just a reaction to MS but as a result of the damage MS causes .... this book plus It's Not All In Your Head are a necessary part of the life of MS patients and their families, carers and doctors.
