Power supply fried after a week of use, impossible to buy these things via other means ,these things happen but manufacturer claims they can’t ship via Amazon to my country for the RMA request sad face

bought it then noticed seal was broken/opened already, had to return item and purchased new one again, same thing seal is opened/broken already. product seems to be new however, it clearly says on the seal, "do not accept is seal is broken"

I have another 2MP NVR system and I will be making a comparison with that one as well as a wireless HD camera system I currently have in my home with color nighttime. The cameras are easy to mount having a plastic plate. I noticed there’s no way to prevent the camera from moving, no locking mechanism. I suggest the best way to mount the cameras is to have cables going inside the wall structure. If you have a concrete or cinder block wall like I do you will have to get a large concrete bit in order to be able to feed a large network connector inside the wall. You are provided templates to drill out mounting holes as well as network cables. Everything is included except tools. This NVR system is extremely easy to set up. Once you plug in the NVR and all the cameras are connected you are guided through several menu options. The menus are easy to navigate but some options require you to click on an image so don’t be afraid to click on the screen images until you get familiar with where the options you need are. The Reolink App is as easy to setup as the NVR. You scan QR code and your system populates on your app. App is easy to navigate and looks like many other camera system out there. Up to now everything is great with the system but why the four star rating. The reason why is night time. These cameras use infrared which means a black-and-white image in the darkness. There are other camera systems out there which have color nighttime viewing which adds to the cost. Comparing their 8mp system with my old 2MP NVR system this one is superior in picture quality and also in HDD space with its 4 TB hard drive. In summary if you have never seen color nighttime images this system is a five star all day long. However if you own cameras which are capable of having color it is going to leave you wanting to have that same color image at night with the next system you purchase even if it costs more. Most 8 channel security systems only come with 4 cameras to start. This keeps the initial cost down, but gives you room to grow as you need it. This set is different in that it provides 8 cameras from the start, so if you have a large home or business you can be fully covered on day one. The cameras don’t appear to be particularly weatherproof and seem to be intended for indoor use. This is great if all you want to observe are interior or protected spaces. Another thing to note is these are wired cameras - you have to have a wire running from the camera directly to the NVR. They are not IP cameras where you can just plug into the closest network jack - you connect the cameras to the central unit. On the other hand, you only need 1 cat-5 cable for each camera - no separate power cord and supply is needed; and the cable can be up to 330 feet long. Good set for interior security with many locations. Recommended

This beautiful set of security cameras and lights work great with other Reolink pieces. Versatile, numerous assets and abilities, fairly easy to install but not too great, it took some time. It did work right when I was done installing it. All strong features. I would recommend this item.
