Fits the Springfield XD perfectly. Lots of options for inside or outside the pants. Much better than the cheaper holsters I've used in the past. More comfortable by far. This is my second one, the first was for a Hellcat and it's a perfect fit as well.

AlienGear really did their homework on this system. The modular platform is incredibly well thought out and designed. MFG quality is rock solid. Everything in the kit is basically interchangeable. It allows you to configure an incredible number of carry variations. I may only use 1-3 of these options; but compared the cost of two, three + separate units, it’s less expensive. Having so many choices makes the value of this system off the chart. Fantastic job AlienGear. 100% happy with my kit. I look forward to you adding more pistol type/options. Update after months of use. IWB set up has been me every day carry for months. Comfort is fantastic. Still happy.

I read the reviews and watched countless videos on holsters. IWB, OWB, AIWB. All different brands and models. You name it, I've seen it. I ended up buying this to determine what I liked and position I wanted to carry. I'm a fat guy. 5'11" 285lbs. I now know I like IWB, 2:30 to 3 o'clock position. It's comfortable, and easy to draw. It doesn't print at all, full size or sub compact. I wear an untucked mechanic shirt, or a tee-shirt. The holster was well worth it. I carry OWB when I camp. The paddle is convenient and easy to draw from. I'm glad I chose the Shapeshift. Price played a factor too. You can't beat it for an education. I recommend it, especially for fat guys like me. I was hesitant to buy it. Now I'm happy I did.

I purchased the Full Size 1911 package on July 24th. Delivery was expected August 13th-16th, but I received it on July 30th; much earlier than expected, so shipping was great. I've tried all of the configurations and so far the OWB Slide Holster and IWB Shapeshift 4.0 set-ups are my favorites. They are the most comfortable with the least amount of printing. Changing configurations is easy and fairly quick. The package come with an allen key for adjustments and a few extra screws and retaining locks incase you lose one. The appendix carry for a full size 1911 is bulky and not great for lots of active movement (just don't appendix carry a full size 1911 if you're bending/sitting a lot). The paddle holster extends about 2"-3" away from where you mount it, so it can be a little awkward and very bulky. The OWB Slide Holster is comfortable, not very bulky, and fits my 1.75" belt just fine. The cant is adjustable with the provided allen key and a little bit of time. The IWB 4.0 is comfortable with minimal printing and very adjustable. You can adjust the ride height quickly and easily by moving the belt clips up or down, and the cant is adjustable with the allen key. I would recommend a 1.5" or smaller belt with this set-up; while I can make my 1.75" belt "fit", my 1.5" belt works better. It can be a bit of a squeeze getting your pants buttoned when you put it in your waistband, but that should be expected. Once the holster is in position it stays exactly where you want it and is pretty comfortable with no hot-spots. With all of the configurations the adjustable retention is excellent. It uses a 1/4" drive wrench and has a lot of range with minor increments to get the retention exactly where you want it. After reading reviews for other holsters I was worried about the slide safety becoming disengaged while carrying in Condition 1, not an issue here. Working, driving, sitting, bending, walking, running, and anything else I've done so far, my safety has remained in the "Safe" position, which is a must if you're planning on carrying in Condition 1. Overall I think it's a great product so far. Granted I've only had it for a few days, so I will update my review (if necessary) after I've used it more thoroughly (at least a month). I'm giving it 4 out of 5 stars purely because I don't see myself ever using the appendix or paddle holster options, but they're nice to have.

Fit perfect for my XD.40 I love the fact it comes with the different attachments for an amazing price. The fact that I can adjust the retention on my firearm is great. And it’s comfortable. . 3 weeks ago I ordered a WE THE PEOPLE holster and it still hasn’t showed up. I ordered ALIEN GEAR and it took a week. VERY WORTH GETTING THIS HOLSTER!!! MY wife also carries and she said the same. None of her holsters are as comfortable as this one.
