Excellent - but it will fail with time
Even though expensive, this is a good mouse, sturdy, well made, no rattling sounds, and the scroll wheel has two physical modes of turning: either super smooth scroll so you can roll it really fast to scroll down pages, or stepped roll motion, so you can control the scrolling click by click. There are other mice in the region of £12 but I would not bother with all those cheap unknown makes again as I bought three, two broke down within two weeks (double clicking on their own) and the last one broke 4 months in, the scroll wheel does not click turn anymore. So you may think you are saving money and £30-35 sounds a lot for a mouse but the only realistic options are the microsoft wireless series which are well made but have a horribly smooth wheel, or this one.Update 18/9/2017I have bought and used two of these mice and both have failed in the same way indicating a design/manufacturing fault. After some use, typically the right mouse button will start failing to click, and it will require a harder press, until it is so pronounced that the button is broken. Eventually the same fate will befall the left button. On inspection of both broken mice it appears that the micro switches inside the mouse, even though plastic, have cut a dent, a groove, on the plastic tab which is what you press down on and what makes contact with the switch. As a result of this groove the micro switch cannot be depressed any more. I have repaired both mice by dropping a tiny amount of superglue so as to bridge this groove and restore the tab. However this method also fails after a while, and all this opening and closing the mouse has left the top rather loose and rattling.I am very disappointed that such an expensive mouse has such a basic fault that renders it unusable after a while. I have had two such mice failing in the exact same way, and one was not used by me.

Disappointed; buy an M720 instead.
I wouldn't recommend this mouse to anyone. It costs over £30 and while it is perfectly usable, it is smaller than I would have liked and it feels rather cheap. I think ~£20 would be a more reasonable price. If you need a decent mouse, consider buying a Logitech M720. It's easily worth the extra ~£10 for its superior quality and ergonomics, even if you don't require its multi-device connectivity. The M720 isn't an amazing mouse, but in my opinion, it is a far better purchase than this one.If you're a Linux user buying this mouse for the browser navigation buttons, prepare to be disappointed. It never occurred to me that these buttons wouldn't work with Linux systems. I was uncertain about buying the M720 because of this, but fortunately, that mouse doesn't have this problem.

Too much pressure for clicking required
My well loved Logitech left-hand mouse MX610 finally died on me. I was looking for a replacement, but Logitech doesn't make it anymore. What a pity. I searched for weeks for some acceptable replacement. I am not a gamer, so I don't need countless buttons, nevertheless I would like to have more than just left click, right click and the wheel. As I couldn't find anything I was looking for I decided to downgrade to the M560. I had been very happy with my previous mouse and although missing a lot of customizable buttons on the M560 I expected the same kind of feeling. But I was wrong. The left and right click takes a lot of pressure. I wonder if this will not lead to RSI in the long run. the mouse sits nicely in the hand, and if you are not looking for a specific left or right hand mouse, this is fine. Can't give it more than 3 stars, as it is quite a basic mouse and the clicking requires too much pressure/power.

Comfortable mouse let down by poor software
I like the 4 way scroll, having the volume mapped to left and right scroll is convenient. It's nice that you can remap all the buttons, but the provided software often finds itself going back to stock settings for no reason (fixed by Ending the task "Logitech SetPoint Event Manager", then reopening the bundled "Mouse and Keyboard Settings" application. Also the media keys are quite unreliable. That being said it could be anyone of Windows, iTunes (or Google Chrome if you use a web music player with something like StreamKeys, which allows you to control music tabs), or the Mouse that causes the problem. I'm edging towards Logitech though, since the popup interface that confirms which action you have invoked often fails to appear.Comes with a tiny wireless dongle, small enough to be left in a laptop. It can be stowed inside the mouse when travelling.Reviewed on Windows 10.

Excellent and reasonably priced mouse.
I bought this for friends, having used many mice over the years, and being asked for a decent quality piece of wireless kit that would work well and last a while.Nicely made, accurate, responsive and with a good feature set for it's cost, the M560 is a quality wireless mouse that makes it's batteries last for a very very long time. It's not a rechargeable type, but it cost less than half the price of most of those types, and having to change a couple of standard batteries every several months is hardly a hardship. The forward and back buttons on the side, intended for use by the thumb (only really right-hander friendly) are awesome for internet research sessions. On the other hand, if you don't like Logitech's speed scroll feature, the scroll wheel on this will annoy you. The mouse is not a full size gamers mouse, but a sort of mid-sized office and internet use device. It has very little weight to it's self, but once you have a couple of good quality batteries in it, it reaches a decent and usable weight. You really should install Logitech's own mouse drivers to get the most out of the mouse in general, tho this is not always apparent as it will give basic functionality as a plug & play device. All in all, a very good mouse for portable use (the reciever for it's wireless reciever is of the "unified" type and so is very small - perfect for laptops) and for users that are not going to need a mouse to use for long intense gaming sessions. Competitively priced with other quality wireless mice.
