Powerhouse of an engine
An amazing engine. Detail is incredible, and it easily pulls my 6 Amtrak cars safely. I ❤️ Kato Size is about 50 percent larger than the Bachman Super Chief.

Awesome Amtrak Locomotive!!!
This got to be one of my favorite P42 locomotives. The grey paint scheme is awesome and stands out. I used the locomotive to haul four Amfleet I coaches and one Amfleet I cafe car. To those who love Amtrak, you gotta to have this in your collection. Kato trains are the best!!!

Could pull a real train
Powerful. Heavy. Could probably pull a real train. The bogeys are tight, so the wheels stay put & don’t wear. Excellent motor, balanced perfectly. This is one of my best engines, and rightfully so.
