20w = 100w candescent in lumens. GREAT!I tend to leave some lights on 24/7 ie] hallway, bathroom etc.. so it definitely makes sense to energy saving bulbs.Not only for the lower energy bills, but also because this is how they are intended to be used.These bulbs contain a ballast so are more durable when left ON for prolonged oeroid as opposed to being switched ON/OFF constantly.However, having said that I always find that these energy saving bulbs never last as long as their quoted lifetime hours. Nevertheless itthey are still the best thing for my usage.The price of these bulbs have risen sharply over the years as they slowly replace the candescent bulb. However, they are still great value, especially when they are on sale and costing between £1.50 - £3 per bulb
