I love gadgets and have been looking for an avocado scoop/slicer. Doesn’t work well if avocado is too ripe. Just as quick and easy to use a dessert spoon to scoop and then slice by hand

The unit is okay if you have a ripe avocado of a suitable size. If it is too ripe the plastic blades turn the meat to mush, unripe and you cannot cut into it effectively. The stone remover (if it fits) will cut into the stone and leave it in place if slightly unripe - not very effective. It is extremely messy to use... I have gone back to a sharp knife... may work well on a large avocado that is ripe but I've yet to find one of a size that matches the unit.
