Good Grips Vegetable Chopper

This vegetable chopper works exceptionally well and exceeds expectations. It finely chops vegetables like garlic, onions, and even jalapeños with ease. The design allows it to come apart effortlessly, making it very easy to clean. For convenient storage, the top can be pushed down and locked in place. Considering its performance and features, it’s priced very well. I would definitely recommend this for anyone who needs to quickly and efficiently chop vegetables.

I love this manual chopper, the blade design chops up green peppers and onions into small pieces for cooking, small like we like, not big long pieces like using a knife might do. It's easy to take apart and rinse. I've used it so far by removing the bottom lid and setting the chopper over my veggies on a cutting board and lightly slap the black handle repeatedly to chop to my desired sizes. It's kinda fun to use to as I see the veggies being chopped into smaller manageable pieces. However, if you use this on frozen, stuck veggies they are harder to cut. I did not want to keep slapping because I don't want to break it so give your veggies a few minutes to thaw outside the freezer and chop away. this was well worth the money! Oxo makes really good kitchen products. It is small enough to stick up on a shelf out of the way. I do not have a lot of storage space so that works well for my kitchen set up. Caution: the blades are definitely sharp though so use with caution

I do meal prep one day per week and was tired of the tedious cutting of vegetables and nuts with a knife. I originally contemplated the Slap Chop but after reading many reviews I chose the OXO Good Grips Vegetable Chopper. It hasn't disappointed. I've chopped shelled walnuts and almonds, celery, apples, carrots and even prunes. Everything chopped well although the prunes became a rather sticky mess which made for a dangerous cleaning with the sticky prune residue stuck to the very sharp blades. The cleaning was made safer by soaking the blades in warm soapy water for a few minutes and just rinsing. The size of the pieces are determined by the number of times you push down the plunger. It's much faster and safer than using a knife which feels ideal for when the kids want to help with meal prep or for the elderly who are starting to lose grip strength for holding a knife. The cleaning is to easy. The whole chopper easily breaks down into 5 parts for cleaning and can be reassembled in about 15 seconds without the need of tools. When it's time to store it you just push down the plunger and twist. It's now 1.5" shorter. OXO did a wonderful job making this kitchen tool.

I had mine for 2 years and I loved it. But the piece that screws the blade to the rest cracked and would no longer stay attached. I’m glad it lasted as long as it did and I’ll buy it again! But it’s plastic so you get what you pay for.

This is one of the best purchases we have ever made. We use it everyday. Chops as fine, corse, or chunky as you want. Because it’s manual, you have total control. Clean up is a breeze. A quick rinse is all it takes. Never touch the blades as they are SUPER sharp ! But you should never need to touch the blades. They just rinse clean under running faucet. We chopped parsley, onions, zucchini, peppers & garlic for our stuffed peppers. Could never chop so well, so fast by hand. This is very sturdy & durable. Everything we own by OXO is fantastic. Don’t bother with cheap imitation choppers. They break right away & are flimsy. This chopper has never given me any problem. It’s cute & small enough to leave on my counter for quick use.

A very high-quality kitchen tool. Careful attention was paid to design, including ergonomics. Bigger than other choppers, sturdier, fits the hand well. The locking mechanism is very quick and easy to operate - the parts easily align perfectly. Chops evenly. Easy to disassemble for cleaning.

This chopper initially worked well enough, however, over time, the blades seemed less sharp and left food chunky, not chopped. Recently, the handle jammed and the chopper did not work at all. I tried several things to get it unjammed, but not it doesn't seem to chop at all.

Works reasonably well even with 3 cloves of garlic. And can definitely accommodate whole large head of garlic cloves at once. So you just peel the cloves, stuff them in the can, connect the top and start chopping away until cloves have been minced in to very small pieces. Then you have all this freshly minced garlic in the can ready to go without the mess, in to a pot or a skillet, very convenient with very little mess since all the pieces are inside of the can. Sure beats cutting bunch of cloves by hand, which is inconvenient, messy and slow. Some pieces would get stuck in the Blades, but it still works fairly well and it will definitely chop up everything else that is similar in nature. I love the can underneath it with lid, love the fact that the blades rotate. And it’s really cheap. The Blades are really sharp so be careful well-made products inexpensive get the job done really well.

Es muy fácil de usar y de limpiar. Poca todo tipo de verdura y el tamaño está perfecto.

Super afiado, porém funciona “bem” com cebola, alho, pimentão, não sendo muito adequado para um tomate maduro por exemplo. Mas valeu a pena, compraria novamente.

I can never chop carrots, onions and garlic small enough so this is godsend. Easy to use and dismantle for washing. Highly recommend.
