NYX Proof it! Waterproof Eye Shadow Primer - Clear

I have hooded eyes and find it really difficult to get make up for any kind to stay on my eyes. But I used this stuff for my wedding make up and not only did it make the makeup more pigmented as it held more products in place it also made the make up last for hours and I mean till the next morning kind of hours with no wipe off on the bed sheets either. I highly recommend this even though it is pricier than some eye shower primers. Would not recommend its use with lipstick though, I saw it suggested somewhere it could be used to increase wear time of lippy but I found it just made my lips sticky and dry at the same time.

Tried this primer instead of my much more expensive one. Comfortable to wear lasts all day through to evening no need to reapply, easy to use - apply sparingly- will buy again

I found this primer takes too long to dry .... it works keeps my shadow in place for most of the day good ..a little pricey

My left eye has always watered and so my eyeshadow has pretty much disappeared by the end of the day. This definitely keeps it on, still a little creasing but I am 51 and so are my eyes !

It works!!! I get watery eyes from hay fever and this helps keep my make in place.

I love NYX products. I discovered them 5 years ago and I love everything I've tried, which is many of their products. I have a makeup issue that has been driving me crazy for several months. I developed a tiny dot on my upper eyelid that is a very light discoloration. It looks like a dot of moisturizer that didn't get rubbed in and I haven't been able to find any products that cover it. It glows through concealer and eyeshadow and it's been frustrating. I researched makeup videos and articles in the art of covering different issues and discovered it was going to be a mulit-product solution which isn't great for skin over 50. Less is more, especially around the eyes with those fine lines and skin that is losing its elasticity. The right products in very light applications were going to be key and the most important product was eye primer. Primer can be tricky for aging skin. While it softens and blurs imperfections it can also make your makeup collect in those fine lines or make it slide down your face. My solution was going to take 5 products plus eye shadow so the primer was key. All my research kept mentioning NYX Proof It Eye Primer so I ordered it. I moisturized first so there was a layer between my skin and primer which made me more nervous. I applied Proof It and let it dry for a minute then applied a color corrector and a very light concealer. It almost covered the dot but not quite so I added a little darker concealer over it. It worked! The dot was gone but the test would be how it all held up. Before I left the house I did have to use a Qtip and dab below my lower lash line where it was a little thick but other than that it didn't budge for 8 hours! Best of all, my eyes didn't looked caked on and didn't settle into the lines around my eyes. My eyes looked dewy, fresh, and a great deal younger! Yes, all the products contributed to the great result but they were all resting on NYX Proof It Eye Primer and it was the perfect foundation for all the concealing I had to do and for the eyeshadow to hold up and not fade as well. I Zoom called my daughter in another state that night before I took off my makeup and she immediately asked me if I had done something different with my makeup because I looked rested, younger, and really great. That's quite a compliment at my age and I don't get them a lot with that dot. The key to every great face of makeup is what it rests on and this primer was great. So great I'm going to buy the face primer and see if it's as good as they eye primer. Stay tuned!

When I first bought this I felt it was a bit messy to use but after a while I learned how to apply the correct amount. I bought it because any eye liner I used would always run and fade on my eyes. This primer keeps my eye liner on for about 8 hours which is great. I will keep buying. Great value for the price.
