Rees Howells is such an inspiring man of God. This book of his testimony has deepened my relationship with Jesus in a way I didn’t expect. Powerful book! Highly recommend!!

I wish I had read this sooner though I don't know if I honestly would be ready to digest and accept the rich history of this man's life, a man devoted to his creator, and who truly died to self, alive in Christ.What a powerful testimony and a legacy of a Saint.May we can on from the foundation built. Praise be to Him, glory and honor forever.

There are not many men like Rees Howells. Probably not very many since the New Testament days. Probably not very many men like him alive today.This book details all the denials of self that he was directed to go through. We do not usually think of prayer in these terms. He suffered. He prayed, and God answered. He would only pray the prayer that the Spirit gave him, nothing really to make his life more comfortable. He is not like me. His life was a singular power that God used to shape events all around him, including 10,000 souls in Africa, and outcomes in World War II. very exciting to read how God led him. That is the story line. How God led him to pray, to deny himself, and to persevere through sufferings, until he received the prize. Very exciting to see how God can use a man. Unlike any other book on prayer that I have read. And I have read a lot of prayer books. This is a biography of a man used by God, who loved God more than anything else.

The story of an ordinary man whose walk with God produced extraordinary results. A riveting read.

This book should be required reading for prayer leaders, intercessors, prophets, apostles, and pastors. I thought I was doing well for God's Kingdom, but this book reset my expectations! I hope I can do at least a fraction for God and His Kingdom of what Rees Howells was called to do. His was truly amazing faith.

This book will humble any believer realizing the cost for souls. The author used much detail in describing how Rees’ obedience in intercession filled the gap and turned the tide in mankind’s history forevermore.

This book has greatly challenged me in my growth in intercession and faith in God’s provision.It also shows me how we can intercede in global affairs to ensure God’s purposes come forth and binding the enemies schemes from coming true.Especially in this day and age, with the tendency to trust in our bank accounts and with the threat of global conflict bearing on all of us, the life of Rees Howells shows us how God can direct us through and provide our needs, even during the most dire of circumstances.
