AreMe Micro SD Card Adapter TF Card Reader for Gamecube Serial Port 2 (SD2SP2 Pro)

This is a really clean mod that makes it easy to swap the SD card out of a modded GameCube. My GameCube has a Gameboy player on the bottom so other models require me to remove the cards layer to get to the SD card. PCB is a good thickness; it’s thick enough to stay in place even if the console is bumped (unlike some cheaper versions) but no so tight that it will damage the connector on the console.

Some sd2sp2 adapters don't fit very well (fall out) and are cheaply made in general. This one is simple, and for a few bucks more, fits snuggly and "replaces" the sp2 cover with a snug fit. It's a good, clean approach. The micro SD access on the side is nice as a well.

I can see how the PCB might be made a little thicker so as to make a more confident connection to the port. In any event, so far it works perfectly with gc swiss.

This version works better for me as I keep a gameboy player attached to my console. I can easily access the micro sd card from the side of the console without taking the gameboy player off. haven't had any issues yet!I docked 1 star from durability, as it is *slightly* mis-shapen compared to my console, so the fit is a little weird. it did worry me that the pins may bend. but again, I haven't had any issues with it.

This works fine, mine is a bit loose when plugged in, but I have seen reviews saying add a small dab of solder to thicken the connections (I will try this soon), also mine does not sit flush when the serial port 1 cover is installed but I saw reviews saying you can sand down the edge a bit to help that (which I will also try). But small faults or not it does read, it does boot, and it's way more convenient than the standard sp2sd adapter when using a gameboy player

The PCB is nice and thick.Everything fits perfectly snug in the SP2 port.This thing is PERFECT if you like to keep Swiss up to date without having to unscrew your Game Boy Player every time. Now you can eject the micro sd card with no hassle.This is also great for anyone missing their SP2 cover as it has a nice backing to it that again, fits great.

I installed the picoboot mod on my GC with a regular SD2SP2 adapter that needed a little extra solder on the leads to fit securely.This new adapter was simple to assemble, replaced the old adapter, swapped the microsd card over, and booted up to Swiss on the first try. No issues when re-attaching the Game Boy Player, and the microSD card can now be accessed without having to take anything apart.Requires 1 more port cover to be kept safe somewhere so it isn't lost, but the easier access to the microSD card and the more secure fit without the need for solder is worth it to me.

This is made of two PCBs instead of one, so it costs slightly more than the other design, but it was worth getting. With the other design, the microSD gets covered by the GameBoy Player, so you'd have to take that off every time you want to get the SD in or out. And I have a GameBoy Player. This version of the adapter allows you to reach the SD card from that little opening on the left side of the console, and it's still concealed. Adds a neat feature, very simple installation, without actually altering your console. I recommend it for anyone wanting to run "Swiss" on the GameCube.

I mean its a tight fit but it works perfect. When you get it in its pretty snug and gives you easy access to the micro SD. Works perfect with FAT32 and ExFat if you're using Swiss so there is no limit as to storage size. No extrusions so keeps the nice portability without any exposed circuit so it's overall a decent product. Just don't lose your little door.

The media could not be loaded. J'ai acheté une gamecube sur Facebook qui avais une carte SD avec 47 jeux. Elle était dans un adapateur dans la Slot-A memory card et malheureusement, je pouvais jouer mais pas sauvegardé et ce même avec une memory card dans la Slot-B. La carte SD devait absolument être dans la Slot-A pour faire fonctionner les jeux, et 98% des jeux doivent avoir la carte mémoire dans la Slot-A également et impossible de sauvegarder manuellement dans la Slot-B.. javais donc un problème.J'ai alors chercher des solutions et acheté sur un coup de tête cet adaptateur pour essayer et en moins de 35 secondes mon problème était reglé. Je suis très satisfaite, ma gamecube et tout ses jeux sont fonctionnels et je peux maintenant sauvegarder puisque la Slot-A est libéré.
