Bosvision Combination Padlock for Gym Locker and Escape Room, Code Padlock, 7.8mm shackle

Needed a lock for the gym, I needed to be able to see the numbers and wanted it to stand out on the rows of bland lockers so I could find the right one. Thanks to Amazon I was able to find this , exactly what I wanted and for a fair price. Seems well made and is a good size, the large plastic numbers are easy to see and rotate well. What I don't understand and this is not exclusive to Amazon are some of the odd reviews. Why are all these people complaining about the difficulty in setting ones own code. Taking it out of the packet and without even looking at the instructions it was obvious. There is a screw on the side which as a position marked reset (there is the clue). You take a small screwdriver , push and turn to "reset", set the wheels to your own code and then turn the screw back to the original position. It could not be easier, a nice easy to use lock.

Having read the reviews on this product I decided to purchase one for myself as I was fed up of purchasing locks that brought no value for money. Having received the product and using it myself I can confidently say that this is defiantly a step above the rest, by far the best padlock I have ever purchased. The colour combinations and large numbers make it very easy to locate your chosen combination of which is very easy to set. This lock is durable and is constructed very well, I will be making a second purchase for my partner very soon.

Easy to lock and unlock without glasses

I have had this for 5 years now, one on my side gate and another on my shed. They have worked brilliantly and I have changed the combination often. Just needs an annual WD40 treatment and it keeps going and standing up to the outdoor weather conditions.

The fatal flaw is that the combination is changed WITH THE LOCK CLOSED. This means an enterprising individual with a tool and the knowledge can change the combination in situ and make off open it. Who thought that was a good idea? To prevent this, the lock should be open in order to change the combination. However, the numbers are the easiest to read which is extremely helpful when using the lock without my glasses.

I bought this lock again having used the previous one for a few years - left it in the old house on garden gate. This lock has a number of very good points and a minor negative.1.large numbers. I use this for my gym locker. I take my glasses off prior to work outs. As I get older I find that the numbers on the locks i use get blurred so I have to remember which dials I have changed and which direction I moved them. With this padlock the numbers are large and easy to see.2. This one is slightly different. Instead of the zero there is a raised point. This is useful as if you remember how many clicks away from the number you need to rotate. This enables you to even open the lock in the dark1

The colours of the lock are great for when you scan the locker-room looking to identify your locker door amidst the many other identical doors.Seems more than adequate for its intended purpose, though I wouldn't use this for anything other than a gym locker.Be very gentle when pressing and turning the small flat-head grub screw for when you set your own combination. Mine was too stiff to turn for some reason so I soaked the lock with some GT85. The screw then turned but the metal is that soft that my 'tiny' electrcians flat-blade screwdriver snapped the screw in half. Yes I did get to set my own number, but I won't be able to change this ever again as the screw would now only return to it's original position.The world still turns and I didn't shed a tear, but this was a bit naff for a first time use. I wouldn't buy this again as a replacement, but would choose an alternative.

I thought this would be easy like my old lock but you have to set the lock using a small screwdriver to access the reset button. I don't have one and it wasn't easy to get around this. Otherwise strong and compact.

I have no idea how pick-proof is this lock (especially seeing a notch on the dial wheel). At least it can withstand shimming attack (the one when you slide piece of tincan metal to move the lock pin, the lock doesn't allow shackle to be locked without a proper code dialed).The metal looks and feels durable enough for low security usage (dial disks are made from plastic, just in case)This is my new favorite gym lock.

Very easy to set your own combination. Colored dials allow flexibility to set the combination either by color or number. It is also weatherproof. Glad they are back on the market.
