Being the fourth album released by the group you have a collection of great songs by a band fully finding their identity and sound. Soulful and at times Funky as well as tender in places there are no weak songs to be found. For those whom later albums are their starting point for this band, this should be an essential purchase. Review: Love this - I already had this album from iTunes and some strange forced me to want to get this for the future, you know, just in case I develop a bad taste in music. This album has my favourite RHCP song on it and I can't recommend it enough for anyone who likes catchy, fast tempo song, like Nobody Weird Like Me is definitely high tempo and it's great also. In my opinion, this is some of Flea's best work in terms of crazy, crazy basslines. So, do buy it!!

Love this

A good place to start for a newbie perhaps
A good place to start for a newbie perhaps ? A good selection of tracks ranging from funk beats ,rap and rock combined with the odd ballad and a worthy collection. Its RHCP before Blood sugar sex magic and Californication; If you like those two albums you are pretty sure to get on ok with this.

Angry Funk
RHCP Mothers Milk is overshadowed by the Hit Single that came from it Higher Ground. The rest of the album is met with technical musician ship and speedy licks throughout. In later years I feel it is an album that has been forgotten but should be re-visited to appreciate its expertise.

El disco como tal está bien y todo, pero el producto llego con rajaduras en la carcaza de plástico del CD y eso me molesta por el poco cuidado con el que se manejo el paquete y se me hace muy frágil a la hora abrirlo para sacar el disco.
