Marvel The Avengers The Ultimate Character Guide

Big superhero fan myself, got it for a girlfriend who didn't know her DC from her Marvel. I was extremely pleased with the price, was a lot cheaper than i thought. Since it was so cheap i thought the content might not be that great. I was surprised when i got the book at how much information it had and how easy it was to read. information was extremely well presented and clear. Truly is the ultimate character guide. I read it myself and really didn't want to give it to her it was that good, so i decided to get one myself. She is not the biggest superhero fan but after reading this book that changed. She said that because it was so easy to read, it has allowed her to understand my fascination with them and she can now understand me when i talk superheroes. Would recommend this book to anyone?

My son has spent hours reading this and using this as a template for drawing. He is only 6 but this book has definitely helped improve his reading as he was keen to learn about the different superheroes. He is very creative and loves drawing like other children and him and his younger brother try and copy the pictures and colour them in. All in all good products for the price. Hardback so still looks decent.

I brought this for my Marvel-mad nephew who is 7 years old. It is a hard back cover, has nice thick pages and each character is listed in the contents page for easy reference. My only concern was that the pages are slightly too proud for the cover, but this could have been a issue which occured in the book production or the reason for the low price. Either way, it hasn't altered the fact that it is a great book and was only a minor problem (so minor that I haven't returned it!) Highly recommend for all ages, children and adults alike, who are Marvel mad!

Purchased as a gift for a 6 year old who is a huge superheroes fan. Think he will love it. Great price, definitely worth the money. Looks much more expensive. Had a flick through the book, lots of information/pictures for any Avengers fan.

I bought this for my 4-year old boy to learn more about the Marvel superheroes. Whilst he is too young to read the text, his favourite thing to do is to ask me to read through the book with him - he loves to see every single character, and know whether they are a goodie or a baddie! This book is an encyclopaedia of characters, and great reference material. It's relatively small, which is great, but each character gets at least their own page and sometimes more than one page. For the price, its a great buy.

Ordered for my 8 year old nephew in the UK , and he enjoyed getting this as a gift.good quality for the price paid. Good buy for a kid interested Iin super heroes.

Christmas present for a huge Marvel fan aged 10. Every character you can think of is included in the beautiful hardback book. Origins, stats and personal info included for every super hero from the marvel universe! Lovely artwork too! Really impressed! Would recommend.

10-year-old son really enjoyed reading through the information on each character. Being a Marvel fan he took pride in knowing some of the information already but there was also plenty in there that he didn't know. He collects all things Marvel so it was well appreciated.

this is a really good book with great art and information on lots of characters, perfect for any fans of marvel. BUT, do not make the same mistake i did, when i bought this i thought since it said marvel in big huge letters on the top that it was an all marvel guide, but its sadly only avengers and not all of marvel. so if you buy this dont expect to see characters such as ghost rider or iceman because this book is only avengers and people ascociated with the avengers. i was very disapointed when i found this out, but it was to late for me. so dont make the same mistake i did and assume its all marvel. in a quick summary: this book has great info and art work that you can be reading for hours but does not have all of marvels characters, only avengers and their villians.

Hard bound book. Sturdy and well printed with well printed pages on all the possible characters in marvel with images and interesting facts.

I bought this book for the power ratings that are always lots of fun for kids. Unfortunately, they are approximate at best. There are a number of glaringly inaccurate ratings, and I’ve only looked at a small percentage of the entries. For example, Quicksilver is described having an unknown limit to his speed, able to run 13 days into the future, but his speed rating is 5 out of 7.
