Best guitar tool ever!
The idea is so blindingly simple - an attachment for the end of a cordless screwdriver to take the faff out of changing strings - but it's one of those things that, as soon as you use it, you wonder why you didn't buy it years ago. This particular product appears well made and I've just changed the strings on my guitar in a fraction of the time it used to take. It coped with a variety of guitars - electric, acoustic and a Precision bass although an Ibanez bass defeated it because the tuning heads are slightly too bulky to fit in so if you're a bass player and your tuning heads are not of the flat metal variety, you'll probably need to look elsewhere. That apart, I can't recommend it highly enough.

Saves your fingers, winds your strings.
Ace bit of kit that spares my creaky fingers the arduous task of winding a full set of strings up to pitch (or down again). As the fingers become more arthritic with age, I'm obliged to step down from my 'salad days' of playing barre chords on an EKO acoustic 12-string for hours to the point where any steel-strung acoustic instrument is a pain, and 4 strings are much easier than 6. Yes! I'm another cheerfully annoying Ukulele convert, enjoying the ease of fretting that enables me to play (simple) stuff again! But winding those brand-new (very stretchy) nylon-style strings up to pitch is no joke with walnut knuckles like mine. So many turns! The teensy-tiny machine heads! The constant retuning of new strings for days! Then they wear out! And another new set needs winding up. ...and so on. OK, maybe I'm exaggerating a -little- bit. This thing fits in our inexpensive cordless electric screwdriver from Lidl, and it's all over in a moment! It fits well in an electric drill, but make sure it will go slow enough for you first... Wonderful invention. Strongly recommended if you are fed up with winding stretchy nylon strings up to pitch.

Good string machine head winder
A really good item for guitarists. Fits various size machine heads (guitar/ukulele). Can be used in a small drill or electric screw driver. The metal shaft holds it in the drill better than the plastic type shafts which I have used in the past. Used it a quite a few times - well worth the money. If you change strings a lot this is a good string winder, far better than the plastic type that fit drills.

Does what it's supposed to do
I've got 5 guitars so need to change strings fairly often. I was using one of the manual string winders but even that got a little bit tiresome, so when I saw this I decided to get it. It fits on to my electric screwdriver and well ... you fit it to the tuning pegs and let it do the work, reversing the process when the new strings are on. Of course you only take the strings to near proper tuning and then finish off manually, but by then 95% of the work is done. I don't have a bass guitar so can't comment on whether it would fit on that, but it certainly works on my classical nylon string guitar, three steel stringed acoustics and an electric. Update: Be very careful if you use light strings (such as 10s). With an electric screwdriver it is too easy to overtighten and break the string (that's from experience). I now just use this item to get the string loosely in place and secure on the tuning peg, then manually tighten from there.

Saved My Wrists
Sped up the string changing process not to mention less pressure on the wrists and it's great for the dive bombers out there that go through a lot of strings. Standard screwdriver bit shape that fits nicely on to my electric screw driver Black + Decker Pivot Handle Lithium Screwdriver and it is the cheaper alternative to the motorized string winders if you have something like an electric screw driver even then I'm pretty sure one of these and electric screw driver is still cheaper that some of the string winders.

It works well on a good quality rechargeable screw driver
This product works very well on a decent drill or screwdriver. It is particularly good at unwinding strings.

Great Time Saver!
For just a few pounds this little bit of kit saves hours or time spent messing about changing guitar strings. It now just takes me a few minutes to change all 6 strings, works great with my Bosch cordless screwdriver. I use this with classical guitars & it fits the tuning buttons absolutely fine. Probably better value than a manual peg winder. Throughly recommend buying this item!
