Franklin CWM109 Collins Crossword Solver

Wife loves it easy to use

Not as quick and easy to use as my old Franklin Crossword Solver. Anagram solver can only cope with 13 letters -- many crossword clues have 14 or 15.(Franklin didn't have this function) Thesaurus seems very limited in content. Lastly the 'go back function' is slow and sometimes not there at all. Am getting used to it but have been spoiled by old Franklin! Still very useful and good value for money.

I love this. Good word games. Great for solving crosswords.

Does the job OK. Compared to previous model much slower and many more words it can't find.

Its a great little gadget! Easy to use and if there was one down side is that it is quite small and the lid is a could be difficult to open if you have arthritic fingers or less able, The buttons are quite well spaced. Handy to pop in your pocket or bag if you were going away.

My dad tasked me with finding a replacement for his old Franklin Chambers crossword solver.... I showed him different ones on amazon but he said he'd trust me to pick a good one! #pressure! I read so many reviews and ended up picking this one which is the newer version of his... My dad is delighted. He says it's even easier to use, the crossword solver is excellent with quick response time and the anagram solver is much better than the old one... It solved ones which his old one wouldn't! He's delighted and asked me to leave a really good review for it. (it also arrived 2 weeks before the estimated delivery date)

Totally different to what I am used to. It’s smaller for a start, slightly awkward to manipulated and read. Would be better if it was slightly larger. I’m a lady but I have large hands! Long fingers and manicured nails. I am using it but sometimes I have problems with the buttons. Good thing is that it sits in my handbag ok.

This is the updated version of the original Franklin/Collins electronic dictionary. The product is nicely presented in Black/Red plastic case with a good ergonomic keyboard and in a handy portable size. Thankfully the original software has been retained with the many excellent features for crossword puzzlers. The Wordbuilder feature is excellent as are the Thesaurus and Spell Checker. I would highly recommend this product not just to crossword solvers but to anyone wishing to improve their spelling and vocabulary.

Works like a charm, but one side of the place for batteries seemed small and it took a bit of pressure to get the batteries in the case.

Good product

At times the buttons must be pushed repeatedly to get a response, but eventually it does move on to the next answers.

It is not as easy as the unit by the same company that it replaced in my house and I wish it were bigger for both my eyes and fingers, but it's good and a good value.
