It's incredible how much sawdust the planner shoots out. This does the job of retaining the shavings perfectly. Easy to empty and the spring in the bag can been compressed for handy storage

Seems work well and easy to empty. However, one problem is (and I'm not sure how you overcome it) is that it needs to be hanging downwards to collect the sawdust. This means that the bag keeps rubbing against the work bench.....

This is an OEM part, so fits perfectly. Delivered on time at a reasonable cost.

needed this for my new planer. I like the little hooks on the sides that allows the bag to compress when not in use. Decent capacity to store the shavings. Niggle that i dont like - its plastic on plastic when fitting, so the fit is really tight..would have been better with a little rubber gasket on the inside when attaching it to the planer- the fit on and off would ahve been better. Otherwise i can see the plastic getting brittle and snapping where it attaches to the planer Bit expensive

I bought this when I bought the 18v planer. I thought it would at least keep most of the shaving in one place. It does it better than that. It works really well, it’s light weight so doesn’t affect the handling of the tool and all the shavings bar a very few get collected. It is easily detached from the planer and opens equally easily to ditch the shavings. It collapses down with clips on the material hooking over the main body. Easily unhooked when needed and springs up into its static size- of a small loaf. Recommend- unless you like chewing shavings.

I was relatively leary when I bought this. Even though it fills up relatively fast, I won't use this planer without it. Saves a big mess!

I expected a small dust bag like on my cordless sander but this one for the planner is huge. Shouldn't be a problem clogging. This dust bag is about the same size as the DCP580 cordless planner.
