Flambeau Outdoors - Masters Series Deer Decoy

Decoy is well made and easy to assemble other reviews say how noisy it is to carry around I wrap legs and head in blanket when transporting it I also drilled hole above hooves and put an eye bolt through it and got big nails which I use to anchor it use a hard rubber mallet to drive in nails

Looks good and had deer come to it. Deer seemed to shy away quickly sure it's a learning curve on my part

this decoy looked so real, my son blew it up into smithereens and thought he finally shot his first deer. so recommend

This decoy has really exceeded my expectations. I had never used a deer decoy before while bowhunting so I thought I'd give it a try and see what happens. I've listed what I consider some of the pros and cons for the decoy.Pros+ Deer focus their attention on the decoy now instead of on me in the blind.+ I bowhunt North Dakota in December so wanted a decoy that could stand on its own with no stake to try and drive into the frozen ground - this one is very stable on its four legs.+ Seems to have a calming effect on the deer. Instead of stomping and snorting as the come by now they just walk right on through.+ The decoy has small pegs on the hind legs for putting scent pads - I put some 'doe-in-heat' on one and had a 3X3 buck fall in love with her and wouldn't leave her side for over 2 hours.+ Durable - I had a jealous doe go over to her and rear up on her hind legs and kick the tar out of her then stomp her for good measure. She knocked 3 legs off the decoy but they were put back on easy enough - no other damage.Con- The leg attachment system is kind of cheesy, I can see where they could get weak and wobbly over time. Since I hunt from a permanent stand I'm going to affix the legs permanently and securely so it won't be an issue for me, I won't be transporting it.TipsI sprayed the decoy down with "Deer Dander" (sold by Amazon)  Fitzgerald Huntng Ent Inc Deer Dander Scent 4 Oz Spray  to make it smell like a deer and get rid of any unwanted scents. Deer walked up and smelled it and were not alarmed.Point the decoy head away from you when using it, the deer I had come in always looked off in the direction the decoy was looking and not at me.Happy Hunting

We hunt in a place that we have to draw deer in from hundreds of yards away. We use calls mostly but we added this decoy this year. 4 deer have been taken including a very nice 10 point. Only issue I had was one hunt I did not get the head on good and it fell off in winds...so make sure the head is on good.Decoy is light and easy to put together, and seem to help. I would buy again

I bought this doe deer decoy and it arrived on Thursday. I set it up an hour before sunset on Friday. But didn't see anything. I was too late and made too much noise before it was time to go at sunset.I set it back up on Saturday morning 30 minutes before daylight, around 6:30am. I hung some Tinks 69 on the back leg and a nearby tree, and got in my stand. At 7:37, an 8 point came across the patch straight towards the decoy. He wasn’t being very cautious and was half across my patch before I saw him. I set the decoy about 65 yards from my stand, facing away, with the alert ears on the head. I shot the buck maybe 15-20 yards from the decoy, I believe he was going to get closer and was moving to get in front of the decoy. I am now a believer, after a total of less than three hours of use, I killed a deer. And we have a lot of bucks here, but they are very difficult about coming into this field out into the open.The decoy is shaky when first assembled. I found that putting paste wax on the orange leg locknuts will enable you to do a better job of getting them tight. Also when setting it up, spread the legs for stability and use a couple of wire tents pegs to anchor the decoy in case of wind.

DECOY WORKS LIKE NOTHING YOU'VE EVER SEEN. PULLS BOTH BUCKS AND DOES. ONLY ISSUE IS ITS NOT VERY STABLE WHEN STANDING UP. THE LEGS ARE MOLDED WHEREAS THEY SIMPLY ARE NOT FLAT WITH THE GROUND. I'VE GOT 3 OF THESE AND TRUELY SAY THEY ARE WORTH EVEY PENNY. ESPECIALLY IF YOU HUNT A FIELD NEAR YOUR SHOOTING HOUSE. IT WILL PULL DEER FROM THE WOODS WHEREAS IF YOU DID NOT HAVE IT THE DEER WOULD SIMPLY NOT COME OUT INTO VIEW. IVE HAD YOUNG BUCKS MOUNT THIS DECOY SEVERAL TIMES THINKING ITS REAL.

Love this decoy! Even though it comes apart and legs/head fit inside body, I found that to be really noisy. I transport it intact. Lightweight and quiet. Just be smart and be safe with it. First time I used it late October in Missouri, I attached a small set of antlers to the head to make it look like a smaller buck. Had a 125” 8 point see the decoy from 75 yards away and walk up to it with his ears pinned back. The buck then attacked my decoy while it was only 12 yards from me. It was awesome to watch and the buck never knew I was there. Had many opportunities if I had wanted to harvest him. Next day, different buck, same results. It is now mid November and I have removed antlers and use it as a doe. Every time I’ve had it in use and saw deer, the deer have reacted to it. It has never spooked deer away but has given me many chances to take great pictures since I am really picky on what I harvest. I’m would like to get another one and have a buck/doe set for next archery season.

Reasonable price, good quality, and very realistic. Has been proven in field draws in deer close and keeps there attention.
