Just what I needed
The lock on my back door was giving trouble, in that it was sometimes difficult to lock. I therefore sent for this lock, which came quickly. I was pleased with the price, though wished I had ordered additional keys (it came with three) and found it very easy to fit. It works well and I do not have any more trouble with the back door.

Took eleven days to arrive
One less star for time to delivery, otherwise excellent little catch.Needs some expertise in DIY to use as a loft door catch. If not comfortable in measurement, get a joiner to fit for you.But a nifty piece of equipment

Not what I expected
Wanted a better catch for the loft hatch, to stop it falling down on someone's head, and thought this might do, but I am very doubtful about how safe it would be.So this will go in the spares box for another day. It would seem ok for cupboard doors. In the end re-fixed, adjusted and tweaked the existing Brass Fanlight Catch, which now works a lot better and is a lot more secure. This catch is ok for the right application, but it is not suitable for a loft hatch.

Good product so far
Easy to install with prompt delivery. As just fitted, only time will tell regarding longevity.

Securit Touch Latch Zinc Plated x1
we have a loft door and after a lot of years going in and out the original plastic catch broke i put a ball catch on but found it would drop and bang open from time to time when i looked on the net for a solution i seen this and it works great easy to fit and really cheap thanks to who ever invented it

appears sturdy, needs careful installation
Used two of them for a garbage door below the sink which opens from the top and can be pulled out. It needs quite some more pressure than the previous fittings. Hope we will get used to that.Regarding the installation, since they are not at the bottom, but the top sides of the door, it seems the marker steel sheet marked a bit too far inside. I would have to move the hook a bit to the outside. I lined the mechanic piece instead.

Bought two. Both broke.
Cheap rubbish. Worked for a bit and then developed a fault whereby the hook (the part fixed to the moving hatch door) wouldn't lock into the spring-loaded catch housing (the part fixed to the frame). Bought a replacement and exactly the same has happened. Avoid.
