Fantastic bread flour
I bake bread every other day, sometimes every day so I go through one of these 16kg bags of flour in about 2 months. And by far, this flour is definitely my most favourite. It is so incredibly fine and silky smooth....I realise that might be an odd way to describe flour. But when you bake as much as I do, you definitely see the differences between certain flours. This is a perfect flour for everything bread related that I make. I bake ciabatta, naan bread, sandwich bread, brioche, bagels, focaccia...you name it, I bake it! And this bread flour is my favourite. Highly recommend this flour.

I loaf this flour!
Fantastic for making sourdough, with it being organic and unbleached, I used it to make my own starter as well. I have subscribed to this product as it is so consistent and reliable!

My first attempt at a white Sourdough
*Edit* I bought this again recently when the price dropped (I've been experimenting with various whites and stoneground whites for a while now). I'm quite pleased with the results and am posting a couple of extra photos. This particular bake is a sourdough, 80% hydration, with 3:1 mix of marriages and Shipton Mill three malts and sunflower brown bread flour (I'm a big fan of the taste produced by the latter). Nice easy recipe - 320 g Water, 300 g Marriage's Organic While and 100 g of Shipton Mill three malts and sunflower. About 1 to 2 hours of autolyse, then add 140 g (ish) of sourdough starter (100% hydration with about 50 g of Bacheldre organic stoneground brown and 30 g of Marriage's organic white) and rubaud kneading method for a couple of minutes max (I tend to go gentle to try and keep the gluten network as intact as possible), 40-minute rest, about 15 g of salt (I'm always a touch on the heavy side with salt) and a few more minutes of Rubaud, 1.5 hours of bulk fermentation, lamination, then a further 3 hours (or so) of bulk fermentation (at about 22 degrees C), shape and into the banneton for overnight cold retardation. Next day, preheat oven to max for about 40 minutes to one hour with the dutch oven inside, no greaseproof paper (I'd run out) so flour the base (of the Dutch Oven) liberally immediately before turning out the cold (straight from the fridge) final proofed dough into the hot Dutch Oven, scoring with a lame and misting with water. Bake time, about 50 minutes (turning the oven down to about 230 degrees), lid on the Dutch Oven for the entire bake. ------- This is my first attempt at a white sourdough and it came out really well. Taste-wise, I actually preferred the Bacheldre flour, but that was a while ago and not a sourdough and the price has gone up on that flour too. Certainly not complaining at the Marriage's brand, it really does the job very very well.

Great for sourdough
I’ve been using Marriages Organic bread flours for more than a year to make sourdough breads, burger buns and focaccia. I am quite satisfied with the results. The only thing I would recommend is to check the expiration dates of the flours as in one of my purchases they sent me flours that were to expire in a month’s time.

Nice tasting flour
The flour is excellent but got caught out re the size of pack. Thought I was buying larger but my mistake for not reading the full description correctly. Have purchased this flour before (in the larger size) and use it to make loaves in the bread oven - nice taste.

Robust flour with a great flavour
Not the first time I have purchased a multipack of this. It’s been my preferred flour for some time and I mix in some spelt when I make my sourdough. I use this to feed my sourdough starter too. I’ve had a split bag with the white, I think the box must have got dropped on the van delivery, it was snuggly packaged otherwise. I can deal with that though as only a small thing. My husband loves the bread I make from this, I am really pleased with the flavour as it makes the effort worth the bother.

Organic bread flour to rely on.
This organic bread flour is good value when you buy it in the multipack. I am a regular baker of sourdough and try to consume as much organic food as possible. Unfortunately I can't grow my own wheat, so it's important to me to find a regular reliable supply of good quality strong flour. The fantastic watermill near me does not offer strong flour unfortunately. I have been using Marriages now for some time. It produces consistently good results with my loaves with a soft crumb, good consistency and excellent bounce in the the bread. I would be happy to recommend this flour to any bread bakers.
