An essential addition to every shoe care kit
Before I start, I just thought I should reiterate what a couple of other reviewers have already stated: THIS IS NOT A STANDARD SHOE CREAM/POLISH! IT IS A SPECIALLY FORMULATED REPAIR CREAM FOR FILLING DEEP MARKS AND SCRATCHES. With that out of the way, I discovered this by accident when, after getting back a pair of resoled boots, I noticed that the deep, unsightly nick, previously on one of the toes (courtesy of a woman’s heels, as is always the case), had been filled in (albeit somewhat crudely). After making an enquiry, I ordered this to finish the job – the nick was largely covered, but some more of this repair cream needed to be applied to finish the job. With the aid of an old plastic card and some nitrile gloves, I carefully applied the cream over the affected area and left it to dry. Half an hour later, using a cloth, I then applied some Saphir Medaille d'Or Pommadier cream over the same area, applying some firm pressure (and generating some heat) as I went back and forth. Hours later, I returned to the boots and could no longer see even the slightest trace of where the nick used to be. That’s how effective this product is! So, in a nutshell, anyone who’s serious about their leather footwear needs to own at least one tube of this. It’s certainly worth every penny.

Excellent repair cream for scuffs and scratches
This cream was able to give a new lease of life to my beloved 10 year old shoes. It's NOT a polish and should not be used as a polish. Put on a latex or nitrile glove that fits tightly and use your finger to smear it and work it into the scuff marks. I find it looks best when you lightly rub the cream and blend it into the area surrounding where it's applied. It takes about 10m - 15m to dry, after which you then use a shoe cream or polish. I strongly recommend using the Saphir Renomat product to remove all polish and shoe cream before applying this product.

Finish
This is an amazing product you only need a small amount! I am in the RAF and wear parade shoes and this gives an amazing finish if needed. This is not a cheap product but worth every penny! This is the third time I have purchased.

Great shoe scuff repair
I badly scuffed the top of the toe on a recently purchased smart black leather men's derby pair of shoes. As the scuff was a series of deep parallel scores , about an inch wide and an inch long on the promenent top of the toe I considered relegating these to 'gardening duty'. Researched on U Tube and thought I would try this product, which apparently contains a filler. This renovating cream has a thick consistency and high black pigmentation. Needed two coats, but I'm amazed to say it did the trick. I'm now proud to wear these smart shoes again with the damage invisible and forgotten. I will now try other Saphir shoe care products to maintain my many pairs of quality leather shoes. As a guide I would only ever buy or recommend leather lined shoes, never textile lined shoes which reflect an inferior quality of manufacture and won't last as long.

great product for retouching deep cuffs or as an alternative ...
great product for retouching deep cuffs or as an alternative for an alcohol base sole re-toucher. this is a semi-flexible silicone with pigment in it, this can also be removed using sapphir's renomat cleaning solution. Kirby Allison has some useful tutorial videos in his youtube channel called "the hanger project"

Edging cream
Brilliant product - I use this to re-do the black colouring on the edges on my welted leather shoes and it does the job perfectly.

Messy but effective
I purchased this product to get rid of a few scuffs in a 30cm handbag similar to the one on the side of the product’s box. It worked very well for the purpose and did not affect the texture of the purse in any negative way. It is also very flexible, which is a plus for future use, and the color match was excellent. However, it takes about 10 minutes to dry, and if you are renovating a particularly awkward item you may get the cream on yourself instead of the object. That being said the cream washes off skin easily with soap and water.

Utilizzata per coprire screpolature e graffi sui Dr Marteens. Ottimo risultato. Non fa miracoli ma la copertura è più che accettabile e soprattutto duratura

Pictured is the before and after. Fairly deep gouge in the toe area and another on the side. Lightly sanded with 220 grit, applied the resin, let it dry, lightly sanded again, applied more, etc. until it was filled in a smooth. Each coat dried within ten minutes. I burnished with the back of a spoon after the final sanding to get the sanded leather to look like it did before I started. Or looks like nothing ever happened. I recommend applying in small batches. If you try to fill a deep gouge all at once, it takes a lot more sanding. Definitely will use when it’s needed again. Great stuff.

Worked great on my leather Mary Jane shoes. I had some bad scruffing. I gently cleaned the shoe with a wet wipe (like a diaper wipe, because that's what I have on hand), then I used a 600 grit sand paper. Finished with this cream, waited 10 minutes and gently rubbed away the residue with gauze. Looks brand new, I hope it lasts.
