Washing Line Pulley, Screw Eye, Cleat Hooks And Screws Kits (1 Pulley Only)

I ordered this so I could put the hook through the hole in the pole. But the hook is not as pictured. It is thicker and more ridgid and does not have a gap. The hook is so close to the rest of it it does not hook anything. Fortunately I was able to use this at the other end of the washing line and hang the bit with the hole over the hook that is on the wall. Therefore the hooky bit just hangs because you cant do anything with it. I had to keep my old rusty one on the pole so if this could be sent as pictured i would have been happy.

Couple of points - the "S" hook is not quite as indicated in the photo - it is has equal sized bends & is therefore open at both ends, the photo doesn't quite show that the loops at both ends are not of equal size (one is elongated, the other a perfect circle), and actual pulley is a little thin & the pin holding it in is also thinnish metal & held in place by rivetting it back on itself, rather than a cap rivet or bolt, which might be more robust.None of these are a problem to me, but might be to others.Still good value, and no complaints about delivery - v quick .

The pulley is well galvanised and looks and feels strong.Loses 1 star due to the fact the pulley wheel moves about too freely, laterally along it's axis.Due to this problem the washing line/rope does not seat properly and jams up from time to time.Will try to repair this with some split washers.

A little stiff in articulation, but good in a direct line.

Our washing line was getting a bit past it and I was afraid it would collapse. In particular, the pulley was on its last legs.This proved a very adequate replacement and appears sturdy enough to hold a line full of washing in heavy winds.At £2.15 I consider this to be a bargain!

Just a little too much side play on the pulley wheel but easily rectified by punching through the spindle and fitting a large washer, replacing the spindle. (This prevents the washing line slipping between the pulley when slack)

Came quickly but had to adjust part to hook on line
