Worth the money!
Highly recommend this set which I have been using for several months now. It comes with five eyepieces 32mm, 17mm, 13mm, 8mm & 6mm plus one 2 x barlow and filters. I find that I don't get much use out of the 8mm & 6mm as I prefer to double up with the 17mm & 13mm using the barlow. The 32mm is by far the best eyepiece offering fantastic wide views. The remaining eyepieces are very good and far superior to the stock one's you get with starter telescopes.Filters are useful, particularly the No.12 Deep Yellow, No.80A Blue & Lunar filter for enhanced clarity on the moon. The latter you will come to rely on to counter the glare from the moon. The case the set comes in is sturdy and everything is well protected. Mine came with a spare rectangular slot which I use to store the stock eyepieces that came with my telescope. (Note:- a diagonal will not fit here but you could make room for one by making a cut in the foam).Only gripe (and it's a small one) is with the case locks which are really flimsy but it doesn't bother me as I never use the locks anyway.Personally I would have preferred a good quality 20mm or 25mm eyepiece instead of the 8 & 6mm in this set. I know most telescopes come with eyepieces at around 20mm but they are not as good quality as what you get in this plossl set.Overall a great buy and this will make a huge difference to your viewing experience with your telescope.

Good range of optical enhancement. Well done Celestron
Celestron C8 owner. The supplied 25mm eyepiece is more than fine, and much fun can be had with it.However, I wanted additions.I have found this fine case, of "jewels", has made a world of difference.Other brand owners have told me this too.Comes in a smart lockable case.A good investment if not going into high-end single eyepieces.

The eyepiece
Great box set. All you need to get started. The box is handy for my other eyepieces.Well made eyepieces the 32 fantastic for finding and star hoping. If you can afford it well worth it for the beginner.

A nice set of lenses
I have had a Celestron 130 Astromaster for a few months so I am a bit of a novice at astronomy. I have also been struggling a bit as to how I could achieve closer images of planets. The 10mm and 20mm lenses that came with the telescope are fine, and I can see 5 or 6 of Jupiter's moons but I really wanted greater magnification. This kit seemed like a good idea simply because I did not know what I could achieve with any particular lens. It has a good range of focal length lenses and the carrying case is well made, with space for a coupe of extra items. The lenses are easy to use.I have not been able to use them much yet (cloudy skies and sometimes perishing cold) but I really enjoyed the effect achieved with the Barlow lens, and I had a good session trying them out on a distant chimney pot in the daylight. On the other hand, I also have a pair of good binoculars, and I am not really sure that I achieve anything more with this telescope, as compared with binoculars on a tripod, unless I use the Barlow lens or the lower lenses. And the narrower the field of view, the more difficult it is to find what you are looking for, and the quicker the star moves off the field of view, and that means that you have to have your telescope set up reasonably well in the first place. It is good value for money, and an excellent way of having a set of lenses that will enable you to achieve an optimum field of view. I think, in retrospect, that I might just have gone for the Barlow lens, but that is not a reflection of this lens and filter kit.I have not really tried out the filters yet, but there is a good range of colours.Take this review against the background that I have been pursuing this hobby from books and mail order rather than having a knowledgeable friend or a nearby shop to guide me. I have been pleased to have the kit, and think it was a good logical step forward for me, but where I will ever stand with how good my original telescope is I do not know. I think you have to start modestly in this hobby because it can be so difficult to set up, find and focus on particular stars until you have found your way around the sky with more modest kit. I suspect that these lenses are also transferable to other telescopes but I do not for sure.

Very Impressive
I am new to Astronomy, recently i bought a Celestron Astromaster 130EQ as being a beginner its a good price, however it only comes with 2 lenses which is fine for getting started & looking at the moon & seeing some moons around Jupiter. As I have got to grips with the scope I felt I wanted more & this eye piece & filter kit is perfect, It has really transformed the telescope, although i have not seen the moon I have managed to look at Jupiter & its moons & a couple of Nebula I can see so much more.I still haven't used every lens but I am very impressed with the Plössl 17mm which has quite a wide aspect & adds so much depth. The case seems well put together, foam lined, with foam cut-outs for each lens & filter, there is even an additional section which i am using for my original lenses, so the case isn't just designed for the kit.each lens & filter has protective covers/cases & the case is key lockable, although the locks seem very poor the clasps hold very well. This truly is a fantastic kit & in my opinion its worth every penny.

Excellent product
The image quality of each eyepiece is phenomenal, even through a fast F/4 reflector. Even though the eye relief on the shorter focal length eyepieces is quite small, I completely forget about it admiring close ups of the Moon with the 6mm eyepiece on top of the supplied 2x barlow(which actually works unlike the plastic ones that come packed in with beginner telescopes.) The eyepiece body is composed of metal which explains the satisfying bulk of each of them. Filter wise, they, again have metal bodies. I haven't tried all of them, but I can say for sure that the Moon filter dims the Moon nicely while still keeping its normal color. The case is very sturdy with the foam, although the exterior could be a bit sturdier. Overall, good valur for the money.
