Surface Connect to USB C Charging Adapter (Gray), Compatible for Microsoft Surface Pro 10/7/6/5/4/3 Go 1/2 Laptop 4/3/2/1, Works with 45W 15V3A USBC Power Supply

This adapter is a great replacement for having to carry a hefty Surface Power Adapter when I want my Surface Pro with me. It's been working well so far, but I have a few tips to make sure it works for you: 1) You need a 15V/3A-compatible USB-C power adapter -- don't skip this step, go to your power adapter's manual and actually make sure it lists 15V/3A (45W total) in its supported power modes. USB-C is a mess and just because there is a USB-C connector/plug doesn't mean it supports this relatively uncommon power speed. It's what the Surface is designed with, so not the fault of the adapter at all. 2) Plug and connect things with a specific order -- I would suggest 1) this Surface Adapter to a USB-C to USB-C cable, then 2) Surface Adapter to your Surface computer, then 3) USB-C Cable to USB-C Power Adapter (your power brick that supports 15W * 3A), then USB-C Power Adapter to AC power. Following the order I listed in 2) guaranteed it to work every time. A few things this order helps with -- it makes sure that the magnetic connection between the adapter and the Surface is solid and secure and fully inserted and that a) there aren't any mixed up / crossed pins from a half insertion, and b) there is no stress on any of the cables/components. I find with the Surface Pro that it's better for me if the adapter is inserted with the right angle facing up (as opposed to down) to give enough space for my USB-C cable to clear the table. Oh, and I can confirm that my adapter works fine with either orientation (as long as it's securely connected), contrary to a reviewer here who claimed this adapter only worked in one orientation. There were some concerns about longevity of this adapter, let's hope it holds up. I think if I religiously follow the steps above I'll be fine.

So i have a 100 watt usb-c charger that charges macbook fine. But does not charge surface pro with this adapter! It worked fine for first two week and now it stopped working. I bought the metal casing one. Not worth buying. Buy the original adapters and forget any of the usb-c adapters 🤦🏻‍♂️

Works perfectly. This is a brilliant little adapter. I have an older surface pro, before USB-C was an option for charging. This little adapter works great with a USB-C cable and power brick. Much smaller for travel or just keeping in a work bag. I tried with both a 65w and a 100w adapter, and both worked exactly as they should for charging the device. Other reviewers that reported problems may not have been using a sufficiently powerful adapter. The only (maybe) minor inconvenience is that it is long, so you may need to attach to the surface with the cable end up. Nice little adapter for the price. I would buy again.

Charges my Surface Pro with a USB C. The only issue i have is that it doesn't fit with my case on. It sits very flush to the side of the computer. Other than that it charges pretty quick. I use it with a power bank to extend my battery.

This little adapter works. But ... you have to realize there are 3 parts to making the adapter work. The charger, the USB-C to USB-C cable, and the adapter. If you don't have a charger giving enough output, the adapter won't work. If you don't have a high quality enough USB-C cable, the adapter won't work. Notice that in both of those cases, it is not the adapter's fault, but the adapter will only work in a specific set of circumstances. I intentionally tried it with a quality phone charger, and there was no charging on my Surface Pro. Same thing with a cheap cable, OR a USB-A to USB-C cable. Only when I used the right parts for the charger and the cable did the adapter work. I am not getting as fast of charging as the Surface Pro charger, but I think that is because I am using a 65 W charger. If I was using a 100 watt charger, maybe it would be the same speed? Not sure, but I am not buying a new one to test that idea. It works. Meaning I can carry less to charge all my devices. That is what I wanted.

Ordered 1, worked for a single day. Second time plugging it into the surface it no longer charged. Tried other cords and same issue. Thought it was just a bad unit so did an exchange. Second unit was DOA. didn't work at all with any of my usb c cords.

Returned the device this was meant for so I don't know how to return this item

also hab mir 2 Stück schicken lassen und bei einem funktionierte die LED nicht. Das Laden selbst hat funktioniert, aber der Überwachungseffekt, anhand der LED, war nicht gegeben. Sehr schade. Nutze den Vorgänger nun schon seit 2 Jahren und arbeitet einwandfrei. update, 11.03.2023 habe die obige Lieferung zurückgegeben und zwei neue bestellt. Ergebnis: genauso wie ich mir das dachte. Alles gut, jedes funktioniert. Sehr schön.

Produit pour charger un Laptop 3 et avec une grosse batterie 50000 100w de sortie. Avec un bon câble USB c c'est nickel !

Works good for my Surface 3 with the 65W fast charger from the Action. Good alternative for the original Surface charger which is more bulky and not very versatile.
