Kids love scales. It never fails.
It's not exactly the scales of justice! But my son hasn't stopped weighing everything in the house since he got them. He's beyond thrilled with them and I love the educational value involved too. Not the biggest of scales but they're great for a small child to get started with.

Awful build quality - how it could be used in a classroom, I can't imagine. The 2 plastic pans didn't even weigh the same!
What a waste of money and a birthday disappointment. I would not have imagined that something intended for classroom use could be so poorly made. It must have cost a few pence in plastic! It wouldn't balance from out of the box - even with the adjustments provided, I could not get the two sides to match. Thinking I had assembled it incorrectly I checked with the manufacturer, who advised I return it. Still searching for a plausible explanation, I weighed the plastic pans on their own and found a clear 6 gram difference between the two.. enough to cause the problem with something so (disappointingly) lightweight. Why on earth would the two not be the exact same weight!? Surely they are all manufactured in the same way. I bought this for a birthday a few weeks in advance. Unfortunately by the time it was assembled, it was too late to return it. I had checked all the pieces were there on arrival, but a product defect where the two sides do not actually weigh the same is pretty surprising.

Fun and educational
Definately one of the best products i have ever bought, i use this a lot esp with my tuff tray. My 2.5 yr loves using this, perfect for start of maths and fun

Good fun toy
Good quality measures which can be used independently of the balance. The balance itself is a wee bit fiddly for younger children to zero before starting to measure but given a bit of help with this, it's a good fun toy and the pans are big so toys, teddies and all sorts of things can be weighed.
