Excellent
I like the shape, solidity and keen edge that I can keep on this knife. It has a useful curve to the blade and handles the small items comfortably and efficiently. It also has classic good-looks. The Wusthof Classics seem to confidently earn their good reputation. If you're able to hone it every so often, and maybe sharpen it on a stone yearly: I can't see its usefulness wearing out. This plus one of their 8" chefs knives will cover most all domestic kitchen eventualities with ease if you look after them. However, if you just want a pretty good knife to throw in the dishwasher and then replace once it loses its edge; you're could probably save a few pounds and be just as happy with, say, a Victorinox.

Good knives you can sharpen last a lifetime with care
Excellent knives... never put any decent knives in a dishwasher with my drinking glasses always washed by hand

Looking Sharp
There's sharp and there's Wusthof! The handle is great too and the finger guard is good as well because the blade is SHARP straight out of the box. I only hand wash it and keep it on a magnetic wooden block to keep it sharp for a long time. It's hard to quantify whether a knife is good value for money but once you've used it a few times, you'll know. (psst! it is!) Great knife, get it!

Nice well balanced knife but not boxed!
This is obviously a top quality knife. It's well balanced a perfect size for paring and vegetable preparation. It should not, however, be advertised as boxed. Bought as a gift for a foodie family member, I was disappointed that the knife is actually presented in a cardboard display box, clearly not a box for long term storage.

Great knife
I needed to replace my knife and swithered given the price. However I am not disappointed. The knife is great and very sharp. Expensive but worth it.

Je cuisine tout les jour avec le Wüsthof TR4172 Santoku Classique de 14 cm de la même marque. (le top de mes couteaux) L'acier est vraiment particulier et il garde le tranchant très longtemps. Maintenant chez moi, un couteau de cuisine = Wüsthof et rien d'autre. Le prix est enlevé mais la qualité a un prix. Le 10 cm pour éplucher et le Santoku pour trancher, quel plaisir !

I liked the the handle , also the blade , very light paring knife and l use it for paring all kinds of fruits and vegetables .

es ist teuer für die Größe, aber es macht einen sehr wertigen Eindruck und es ist scharf. Es gibt dieses Modell auch kürzer, davon rate ich aber ab. Die 10cm sind gerade richtig. Von der Form ist es ein Allzweckmesser, das ich hauptsächlich zum Zwiebelschneiden verwende. Mit diesem scharfen Messer gibt es dabei keine tränenden Augen mehr, wenn man alles richtig macht. Drei waagrechte Schnitte in die halbe Zwiebel aber nicht ganz bis zum Ende, dann 10 Längsschnitte und anschließend mittels Querschnitte kleine Würfelchen abschneiden - am besten Video in YouTube anschauen. Mit ein wenig Übung ist man schneller und natürlich präziser als mit jedem Zwiebelschneider-Schrott. Achtung - das Messer ist spitz und habe mich damit schon gestochen, weil ich beim Kochen gerne ein (oder zwei) Achterln Weißwein schlürfe.

Ergonomically well-designed, beautifully balanced, and keeps its edge like nobody's business. Besides a good chef's knife, a good paring knife in your kitchen is a must. This is one you'll find yourself using again and again. On top of that, this seller was a pleasure to do business with.
