I am amazed that this went on for so long after WW2. Very interesting and informative.

This film is ideal for the classroom. I had to get it approved by my principals, but that was easy. A great resource for teaching the Holocaust. A true moving film that has changed the lives of my students. Great film quality, prompt delivery, and great condition!!

This is an hour long documentary on an Austrian doctor who used the Third Reich’s take over as a chance to perform horrific experiments on ‘damaged’ children, or ‘euthanize’ them (an odd term when it often involved starvation and freezing to death) -- and then dissected their brains, which he kept ion jars.Perhaps as disturbing as his horrific crimes is that, despite mountains of evidence against him, not only did Austria decline to prosecute him for his war-crimes, but the government used him as an expert witness in thousands of cases in the decades that came after, eventually giving him a medal for his contributions to society, and paying him a government pension. Less a portrait of the mysterious Dr,. Gross, and more one of a society so desperate to deny it’s own embrace of Hitler that it will ignore hard facts, and shun those that try to uncover them. Eventually, even at 59 minutes, there are some sequences that get repetitive, and we are never able to really understand the character at the center of the film. But it’s still a chilling look at how societies can have very selective amnesia.

This doc...is awesome.....bleaker than most...but a differing topic in realtion to the Holocaust. For those of us Jewish...or those enticed w/ the topic...a must, I leave out one star...as I think the flick culd have gotten a little deeper into detail about the why...
