A good quality caliper that suited my needs
********UPDATE 16th MAY 2018I've now had these calipers for coming up to 4 years. I have used the original battery and the replacement battery, just two weeks ago I replaced with a new battery which prompted my update on this caliper. So after 4 years it's gone through both batteries provided. Excellent lifetime in my opinion! The caliper is still in a great working condition. I've always kept it in the original box. Whilst some of my tools rust in the shed, these calipers don't show any signs of rusting - even though I suffered a leak in my shed roof over winter! I cannot complain about that at all. The calipers have not required any maintenance, although they have never been soiled by swarf etc. which would necessitate cleaning. In addition to using the calipers as simple dimension checking, I have also attached gauges to the jaws of the calipers for measuring bespoke features of bullets I use (i.e. measuring from the base of the case to the bullet ogive). Typically, bullets vary in length due to the meplat (the pointy bit!), as it's difficult to manufacture this repeatedly, so trying to control the overall length of an assembled bullet (from the base of the case to the tip of the bullet) can be a pointless exercise. The distance between the bottom of the bullet and the ogive (the part of the bullet where the diameter of the bullet is the widest) on the other hand, is controlled pretty well! The base-to-ogive measurements were clocking in at around 2.110" for the round I was making, and after making a batch of 50 rounds they were all spot on 2.110". I measured the overall length and saw some variation (2.680" to 2.682"), which ties in with the theory of the meplat being non-uniform across the batch of bullets. After all of this, I still think these calipers are excellent, and will continue to use them!********CONTENTS1x 150mm Digital Vernier Caliper (with SR44 battery installed)1x spare SR441x mini screwdriver to replace battery1x set of instructions1x hard plastic case enclosing all the aboveSUMMARYOverall I'm very happy with this purchase. It fits all of my requirements and didn't cost me a great deal of money when comparing to a Mitotuyo equivalent. I've had fair usage over the past 4 months and everything is as good as day one. My only minor comment is that the empty cavity in the case for the caliper isn't perfectly shaped for the small thumb locking screw, but it's hardly worth removing 1 star for this.As a keen shooter part of my hobby is to handload my own ammunition for competition or purely for cost reduction. In order to to this it is critical that my case length and overall cartridge lengths are within SAAMI specifications for my own safety as well as others. Usually the tolerances are measured down to hundreths of an inch (0.01") but this tool is accurate to thosandths of an inch (0.001") which gives me confidence that I'm safe. In terms of repeatability some of the components I buy are machined to +/- 0.001" and the calipers are good enough to show this.As a test, I had 20 components to test that were machined with a circular diameter of 0.311" After zeroing the caliper and measuring all 20 of the components my calipers correctly displayed 0.311" everytime so I know that my calipers are repeatabile and accurate. It has a resolution of 0.0005" and this can be seen as a small 5 on the calipers while performing a measurement, which was observed every so often with my 20 test pieces.

Great item for the price
Bought this calliper with trepidation because of the price. They turned out to be excellent value for money. Good smooth operation and accurate read out. Battery lasts a good while too as long as you remember to turn them off before closing the storage box! 👍🏻

Great easy to read tool of good solid construction with good accuracy.
Quick and easy to use and great to replace the traditional analogue one with acceptable accuracy and most importantly a quick easy reading.Have checked this against various Matrix slips and its accuracy is very good.

Quite good value for money—not as accurate as my older one
Quite good value for money—not as accurate as my older one, but this one was a quarter of the price and is perfectly good enough for measuring most items. If you require greater accuracy, then get your micrometer out!

Excellent value for money & work great
for the price, an excellent bit of kit. im an engineer by trade & these are just as good as the more expensive ones (£80+). they work as they should. very accurate as they should be. auto shut off after 10 mins of no use. i think i will be buying these in future as it wont matter if i break them (as they were so cheap). i nearly cried when i broke my mitutoyo's. i wont be crying if i break these.a good purchase

Better than the description suggests
This seems to be a good product. It is made of hardened stainless steel and has the feel of quality.Resolution is 0.01mm to an accuracy of 0.02. It measures internal and external objects and also has a depth measurer. It comes with a spare battery (LR44) and a small tool to open the battery compartment. It also comes in a plastic case. There are no instructions about how to replace the battery and the diagram on the instruction leaflet is a little different to the actual device but you can work it out (on the back there are two small screws and the one to the battery compartment is the right hand one)

All steel digital callipers
Work well and seem well made. Turns on if the slide is moved - and if knocked when the locking screw in not locked - keep finding them on in the case! Need to lock before putting away.
