I made my first DIY art journal as soon as this kit arrived! I used canvas paper for the cover and good quality watercolor paper on the inside. Has everything I needed to sew binding and even has multi colored thread. This has enough supplies to make many, many journals....all different sizes and probably some gifts.

Fantastic value. The needles and thread are good quality.

You get what you pay for. I used this to attempt a repair on a heavy leather bag. Broke two needles simply pulling (not pushing) on the needle. The needles are exceptionally poor quality. The only good thing about this was the five spools of twine, which will come in handy once I find quality needles that can take the stress.
