Brilliant!
This book has been a bit of a godsend.I bought it on the advice of a friend. It’s good for a refresher on one or two things. It’s also good for learning a few new things. It’s a nice pocket size book. Which is ideal for what I was looking for. Paul White (the author ) has done a great job with this book.It explains things clearly and it’s easy to follow and understand.I would highly recommend this book if this is the sort of thing you’re looking for.I’d give more stars if it was possible.

hit the spot
well im not usually a big reader, and this book is stupidly helpful, its starts of by talking you through all the different types of EQ then moves into compressors, then going deeper and how to introducing effects. like i said im not a big reader i wanted to have a quick look at the book when i got it and found my self at page 50, this book is core for any producer, software based or hardware based. and at this price this knowledge is a steal

Basic Introduction
Most people who record music seriously have high regard for Paul White. His advice is always worth reading and this whole series of books is a cheap and cheerful way to learn some basics, but they are not for the more experienced recordist. The books are short and easy to read, unencumbered with technical jargon and a great introdcution to their subject matters, but no more.
