Great product! Comfortable! No babies!
I found it very easy to put in (I use a moon cup for when I’m on my period) so popping it in is quite easy. I would highly suggest practicing a few times putting it in and out before using it and possibly using a condom as well the first time (I had issues trusting it- but that’s just me not the product). When it’s in I am aware it’s there but it’s not uncomfortable, both myself and my partner at moments could feel it during sex but it’s not uncomfortable and it doesn’t get in the way. The gel is easy to use and would really suggest getting the one with the additional applicator because it makes putting it in a lot easier than using your finger. Strangely it’s smells really sweet, so that’s a plus! The only downside with the gel is it’s rather expensive but for the first month I used a lot of the gel out if paranoia. Would HIGHLY recommend watching as many info videos as you can, reading the Caya website as well to make sure you understand how to pop it in correctly and most importantly after sex leave it in for up to six hours or risk pregnancy. Other than that I wish I knew about this earlier great product!!

It made sex a lot better for us
I was very paranoid about using this at first. I do not like synthetic hormone contraception and find condoms ruin sex, so this was an alternative option. I do not have children and have not been measured for a diaphragm. The item is high quality and even though it was bigger than I expected, it fit comfortably. Add the gel to the top and sides, squeeze the sides together and insert at deep as you can, before pushing the tip of the diaphragm forward, where you’ll find it rests nicely behind your pubic bone. I also use a menstral cup for my periods, which definitely helped my confidence with inserting and placing it. We couldn’t feel it during sex and thankfully we have not suffered any of the other issues people have mentioned in their reviews, (which, now I’ve got one, all sound like the users have not inserted it correctly). We have used it a few times and grow more confident each time. This is a reusable item, which means less cost and waste for your sex life. The only downsides are that it must be left in for 6hrs after sex to ensure protection from sperm getting to the egg, if you have sex again before it’s been removed then you have to insert more gel and wait a further 6hrs after sex to remove it, without exceeding 24hrs in total.

Excellent diaphragm but the spermicide irritated me.
The diaphragm is a great design and much better than trying for months to get one on the NHS. I am blind and find it very simple to use and totally not noticeable once inserted both by me or my partner. I am a menstrual disk user and this is practically the same for shape and insertion and removal. A good bit shallower than a menstrual disk because of it's purpose as a barrier contraceptive but as I couldn't see the pictures I thought a description could help others. The spermicide on the other hand is firstly very sticky and gets everywhere and slippery insertion is somewhat annoying. However my main problem with it was that it seems to of messed up my vaginal flora and I'm currently trying to fix both thrush and a uti. Perhaps I am just very sensitive to the ingredients which is likely but thought sharing my experience could prewarn others. All in all: A really great diaphragm that I love and enables me to have control of my contraception without hormones and being stuck on a nhs waiting list.

Natural contraception
I wanted to come off the iud and let my body have a rest at 38. I downloaded natural cycles and bought a caya. I watched the caya video on YouTube so I could familiarise myself with the diaphragm. I found it very easy to use and I couldn’t feel it at all really. I have had a child 11 years ago if that helps for sizing. I feel a lot better for coming off hormones

its okay
Good product and it works but keeping it in for 6 hours is tiresome. and it slips down a lot, you have to readjust it.

IM DONE WITH HORMONAL CONTRACEPTION - THANK YOU CAYA
I bought this after being on the pill for 15+ years, had 2 kids (im now 39) then went on the implant (not my best decision) I decided I've enough of hormonal and spent quite a bit of time researching my opions. I've had this for 6 months now and it is now my contraception of choice. I had not used a diaphagm before so it was totally new to me. You do need to practice a fair few times, I cannot stress this enough. It should also be something you and your partner practice together so you can both be familier of how it feels when it is in the right position. I could not do it right by myself the first few times. I didn't know how it was supposed to feel when in place, I think i was a little scared of using any pressure to get it into place. My partner however, did it first time after reading the book once [no suprises there ha], so I was able to feel how it should feel, I have not struggled since, straight in first time taking only seconds. It can be a little bit of a passion killer for those women who have been on hormonal contraception forever like me and with a steady partner, but for those who use condoms there will be no difference, my partner was not sure about it for the first few weeks but I sometimes pop it in in anticipation [up to 2 hrs before], or at the very least put the gel on then close the little holder so there is less faff when the "time" comes. I wasnt too keen on leaving it in overnight originally, but now it does not bother me one bit, as you can't feel it. I think the NHS should reintroduce these; especially for those of us 30+ (as I personally just couldnt imagine using one before having kids in my 30s this is the only reason i say this), and for those of use tired of spending our adults lives full of fake hormones messing with us. I am 98% sure I do not want another baby. I use this along with the "Natural Cycles" app (not free but the only app ever to be liceneced in the EU as an official contraceptive), so I am confident that my chances of NOT falling pregnant are as good as if I was on the hormones still. I cannot see myself using anything else, and am 100% confident I will not go back to the hormones.

Huge, way too big, super uncomfortable
My partner and I both agree, it's too big. Like, I didn't think it would go in, once I ~had it positioned ~ it shifted and my partner said he could feel it the entire time to the point the friction of it made him numb. I could kind of feel it, but when I went to remove it I felt how drastically it had shifted and realized it was way too big. I don't recommend.

it really seems to fit best with women who use size 70 or 75
I researched this extensively and while it says "will fit most women from 65 to 80", it really seems to fit best with women who use size 70 or 75, which applies to me. From what I gathered, it "swims" a little at higher sizes and for lower sizes, it seems to not get enough suction to sit properly. Other than that, it is nicer than the Milex and I did not have to go out of my way to get it, which is a win in my book. I also ordered a fitting set from Medintim, just to check if my size went up or down when there is reason to think that it did (I am not a medical professional but it seems that you should always wear the biggest diaphragm size that fits comfortablyfor 8h and covers your cervix). My weight, for example, is generally all over the place and the shape of the Caya allows me to worry a little less about whether the diaphragm I use fits correctly. But I still like being able to make sure it is roughly the correct size for me.
