I've just ordered my 4th set of these Tala measuring spoons, not because there's anything wrong with them, but because they're indispensable. I use them, not for cooking as you'd expect, but for making drinks. I use a stevia-based sweetener, and for stevia-based sweeteners a third of a teaspoon is equivalent to a whole teaspoon of sugar of other sweeteners. This Tala set of measuring spoons is the only set I could find with the vital 1/3 of a teaspoon measuring spoon.Of the three sets of measuring spoons I've already bought, I have one set at home, one set in my handbag, and the third was bought for a friend. This set is for keeping at work. They avoid drinks made by colleagues that are too strong or too weak, or too sweet or not sweet enough - people's idea of a teaspoon can differ greatly. Some barely fill the spoon, while for others a 'teaspoon' is a mountainous heaped spoonful. Then of course there's the problem of 'teaspoons' of different sizes - these measuring spoons solve all these problems.Some reviewers have complained about the ring that holds the measuring spoons together coming apart and that spoons can drop off. It's not s problem I've experienced with any of the measuring spoons that I've bought though. The small plastic nub that a small hole in the ring fits onto very occasionally slips, but the gap's not wide enough for spoons to come off, and the ring's fairly substantial and holds its shape well. The spoons have a hole in the end of them to fit on the ring, so if keeping them on the ring's really a problem, you could thread them onto string or something. If the ring coming apart really is a problem, I'd imagine just a small dab of glue on the small plastic fastening nub would solve the problem.All in all though, a great set of measuring spoons with the full range of measurements you might need for cooking etc., and at a great price.

I use a lot of recipes I find online but often, the ingredient measurements are listed in American cups. Trying to convert these into milligrams is often difficult, time-consuming and highly inaccurate. I purchased this measuring cup set in an effort to take the guesswork out of baking. I'm so glad I did!Easy to clean, well made, clearly marked and neatly nestling into each other for storage, these really are ideal and make measuring in 'cups' a doddle. They can be used for either dry or liquid ingredients. These really have made cooking much quicker and easier with the overall results much better too due to the accuracy.I would give these 4 stars from a potential 5. Although I am truly happy with them, the ring they are all housed on is solid which means you can not remove individual cups. Trying to measure with the rest of the cups still attached to the ring can be awkward and results in spills if you aren't careful. They're just a little too large and bulky to be constantly attached the same way measuring spoons are in my opinion. In spite of my criticisms, I would still recommend this product to other shoppers. I have had these Tala Measuring cups for a little over 4 years and now ordered another set. So I can speak for their durability, I find it best to remove the ring and only use this for storing the cups.When I have finished with them I just put them through the dishwasher (putting the prongs through the holes and fitting the cover back over the top as they do have a tendency to flip over and fill up), they have never dis-coloured or gone brittle, so I would presume these are dishwasher safe.The last set of these that I bought were 240ml/1cup =English Measures The 1st ones I have are American 237ml/1cup. I have learned there is no Difference to the outcome of the recipe if you use All English Measures on an American recipe remember Fluid measures are slightly different to dry measures (only slightly to check the accuricy of any cup or jug pop the on scales calibrate it fill with water to desired quantity and weigh out 240ml should weigh 240g, 15ml should weigh 15g) Just make sure you use all English or all american cup measures and your cakes will turn out just fine. There are generally alot of eggs in american cakes so you don't need to add extra soda/baking soda (bicarb/ baking powder)as eggs are a raising agent. I find my fingers better than the egg separator as sometimes the yolk slides through the vents bursting as it hits the bowl (especially small eggs) but other than that they are super. I tend to use my fingers instead of the leveller too, the weights and measures on it come in handy especially when baking with the children, Which is why I have just bought another set. As they both like to measure the ingredients out together it'll save arguments.

Just what I wanted labelled measuring spoons for cooking/baking. Nice design, good quality. Would recommend.

Great thing does the job well

Does the job for following US recipes.The bases of two of the spoons were broken in transit - didn't affect performance and not worth returning, just a bit annoying.

Bought these as most of the recipes in my cake book are American recipes and use cup sizes in stead of grams. Great purchase.
