Works great - watch your fingers
Great mandolin. The design is excellent, interchangeable cutters give flexibility, while the case catches the food as you cut. The great addition is the food holder, it's got spikes that you push the food into, and gentle pressure pushes the food down into the blade as you move it back and forward. Some words of caution - this is VERY sharp. The hand holder is designed to be used in a certain direction (marked with arrows) - use it in this direction, and keep your finger inside the guard. Moving it quickly back and forward works best (don't try to cut slowly - keep it moving quickly).

Great product
Very nice product. The slicer comes in a well packed pretty box: the mandolin shaped to fit over a clear plastic box, a box for the blades and the grip. Blades are very easy to interchange. The whole thing goes together nicely and works well. The grip takes a bit of getting used to- needs a constant down force but fine once you get it. Cleaning is straight forward. Like it!

Good for soft things. Bad for anything else!
I’m not sure what I expected but this is not easy to use and I’m missing a few pieces. If you’re careful, you can grip it and use it on softer things like a cucumber just fine but when I went for sweet potatoes things got... dicey!

I loved this Mandolin slicer
The media could not be loaded. I loved this Mandolin slicer, I bought it to make small fried potato snacks called pomme frites. And also to help me slice up salads for coleslaw. It came with a safety handle which you jab into the vegetable, And then you start slicing. It was very simple and fun to use. And the best part is it came with a container on the bottom of the mandolin, So unlike older more traditional ones, This catches all the foods you slice. It has several attatchments for different types of slicing, contained in a neat little box. This is great for my cooking needs. Thanks.

Fantastic
Firstly, I would like to point out that some of you are trying to slice Squash, which is a very hard brittle vegetable and you just cannot do that with these.Secondly and subsequently, a lot of you are trying sweet potatoes, which are equally as hard and also swedes which are even harder. You just cannot expect this to cut through the hard vegetables so please do not try and stop complaining and do it properly. Some of you are complaining that the blades are sharp. Yes all blades are sharp and that is why they are called "BLADES".If you read on the box it does say "be careful of the blades as they are sharp"I really cannot believe what I have read on the reviews for this fine piece of equipment.YES!!! Be careful of the blades as they are sharp and suppose to be sharp. It will not cut anything if they are not sharp. On the box it also advises you to get some cut resistant gloves which I have and I use my gloves whenever I am cutting up food because I have a chefs knife set and I keep the blades very sharp as any chef will tell you "keep your blades sharp"SO! if any of you cut your fingers then that is your own faults for not reading what it clearly says on the box. Get some cut proof gloves available here on Amazon or wherever.

Slices onions, celery, tomatoes, skin, fingernails...
Great little contraption when it comes to slicing big fruits and veggies easily. Never have I had such uniform slices! Beware when it gets close to the end of the veg - goes without saying but this will cleanly slice through your nails and fingertips if you get too close. I learnt to respect the mandolin the hard way.

A useful piece of equipment to have either in the kitchen, caravan or boat galley.
A very useful tool to have in the kitchen although I am somewhat disappointed that the wider slicer of the two isn't a bit wider as this produces thin slices, and the otherone produces ultra thin slices.Nevertheless, it does save a lot of time and effort.
