I was looking for a simple construction toy that had a screwdriver because my 3 year old son kept screwing off door handles when I accidentally left the screwdriver out, so I wanted to be able to redirect him to something else, and I wanted a toy to increase his fine motor skills and hand eye coordination and dexterity in his hand before he learns to write. There are lots of sets that come with a battery operated screwdriver but I wanted to avoid these because they wouldn't encourage those skills as much as a manual.I was originally looking at Hape Inventor, and Brio Builder and was struggling to choose, when someone mentioned Quercetti Tecno, which is very similar to this set and it looked great as it had its own storage, I was worried about losing the loose parts in the other sets. This set came up in suggestions while I was browsing Quercetti and was significantly cheaper at £13.85. I thought it would be flimsy plastic, but I took a chance with it and I'm really glad I did. The box and the pieces are very sturdy and will not break or snap, I am very impressed with the quality this is not a disposable toy.The screws are very easy for my son to do, so it doesn't offer much of a challenge, but it is all still fine motor practice and there are lots of opportunity for being creative, (in the photo my son is adding blue screws he says are raindrops) making patterns as a maths skill, or just filling the board randomly with screws as he likes to do best. If we don't have time to remove all the pieces it doesn't matter, the lid will still slot on to the box with no chance of pieces getting lost. I'm really glad I went with this bargain toy.When my son used it for the first time he excitedly told me it was exactly like the one he has at his Montessori nursery. Which explains where he learnt to unscrew door handles in the first place, so I wholeheartedly recommended this toy but do advise you to hide all your screwdrivers if you do.

I got this as a birthday present for a 3 year old and he loves it.So far he's spent hours playing with it both independently and with help. Great for fine motor skillsMinus one star because the box arrived damaged and dirty. The dirty wiped off but the damage has meant we are unable to store it in the box when not in use.Highly recommend.

Yes!! My 3 year old loves screws, screwdrivers...and fixing...so this is amazing! Keeps his brain engaged, the pieces are well made, colourful. The only thing I would suggest the pattern sheet that comes with it to be made slightly bigger. Still good to have it this size but just think it would be easier for little ones if it would be bigger and maybe made out of something a bit harder like carton than just a very thin piece of paper.

I got this for some children in my class with SEN. They all really liked it and made super designs. Screwdriver is great for fine motor skills. Super toy would buy again.

Such a great way of encouraging creativity. My granddaughter gets hours of fun from this game.

I use this product in the school I work at. Good sturdy box. Strong plastic shapes. Good quality at a decent price.I would buy again.

Ein super Spiel.Mein Sohn 2,5 Jahre ist begeistert und schraubt was das Zeug hällt. Bilde kann er zwar noch nicht machen, aber er hat schon Spaß dran nur die Schrauben mit den Verbindern festzuschrauben.
