Manhood: The Bare Reality Paperback – June 15, 2017

I love this book for so many different reasons. For starters I was very sheltered growing up and men absolutely elude me. It’s very intersesting to read about the lives and “livelihood” of various types men, and see how they view their masculinity.Secondly, the presentation is amazing. You get vauge information about the men from their genitalia (it’s a penis, it won’t tell you much) but I was led to draw conclusions, that is until I read the text and was able to disconnect from the image and the person. It’s very refreshing to read in such a way, because instead of knowing who this person is, they will tell you.Some is very depressing and makes me wonder about the consicencses of pushing masculinity on boys and men. Some is exciting and some is very insightful. I’m positive not all men think just like this book, but these 100 men are leading a path to discussing real issues and real thoughts.All in all, I think it’s a good read for anyone who is curious about other people, curious about men, or want to explore journalistic writing styles.Very good read, and I look foreword to finding more books like this.

I heard about this on talk radio and the book isn't what it looks like. It is really different male perspectives and it is good reading for women to know what different men think about their bodies. The radio show said this would be great for every teenage boy so they know they are not the only ones with those same thoughts. Very well written individual stories of males mostly in England.

This book is an excellent meditation on masculinity as it applies to ordinary men. 100 volunteered to have their penises photographed in a respectful and non intrusive manner. These are supplemented by reflections on what having a penis means to them. To some it is something of a burden as is a typically masculine role. For some it is a means of connection through sex to other. Often they reflect on partners male and female, being a male child, or being a male parent. It is refreshing to see mostly average sized men instead of the exaggerated organs of male porn stars. Interesting reflections!

An interesting and unique book about manhood and men's views on their penis.

What I have to complain about regarding this pictured edition is that the scope of the book is strictly limited to the heteronormative male's penis. There is never given even a hint that this is a limited perspective and should not to taken as gospel for ALL men. I am thoroughly disappointed in this tiny viewpoint. I hope the author can, someday, realize that the world contains more than just white, English-born men!

The book covers a topic very few men ever talk about. It was interesting to see how many men have the same fears and thoughts.

Not what I expected though. It's kind of depressing and I wish I could return it.

Neat idea and enjoyed reading. Bought this after watching red pill in Amazon. As a woman it really opened my mind. Watch red pill ladies and have your mind blown.

A facinating candid discussion from a broad spectrum of the male gender.

It was a funny and intriguing surprise to know some details about how a man think. Specially, it was amazing to see and understand the sensitive side of man, to connect to their really undercovered fellings. I really recommend.

Als Sexualcoach erlebe ich viel und direkt, dass Männer mit ihrem Genital unsicher oder unzufrieden sind. Dieser Text- und Bildband ist berührend und bereichernd. Er zeigt die Vielfalt, Diversität und Unterschiedlichkeiten in einer sehr ansprechenden Form. Gerade die Geschichte der Männer dazu lädt zu Selbstreflexion und Befriedung ein. Lange habe ich geglaubt, ein solches Buch gäbe es aktuell noch nicht und war sehr erleichtert, als ich dann dieses hier gefunden habe.

Mi aspettavo altro. Interessante l'idea ma secondo me mal resa. Tutto molto noiso. Non si vedè la faccia delle persone. Sembra un libro di medicina.
