Dell U2417H-2 Ultra Sharp 24-Inch Infinity Edge LED Monitor - Black

I have been using this monitor for about a month now and I am really happy with it. The plastic used for the frame feels of high quality and the beautiful design stands out as soon as you open the box. The base is super easy to set up and the adjustability gives extra value to an already great product.Feature-wise, this monitor provides many little utilities that I found useful.It comes packed with display/hdmi/audio out/usb 3 ports and a convenient hole on the base that allows better cable management. The almost total lack of bezels makes the screen considerably more compact and leaves some much needed space on my medium-sized desk despite its 24'' size.The settings buttons are a bit difficult to handle as they are placed underneath the display but they are not supposed to be used too often anyway. Even though there is an option for a 6ms response appart from the default 8ms, I couldn't really tell the difference between the two modes. Anyway, the option is there if anybody cares.There is no reason to speak about the colour accuracy and technical stuff as the performance of the display is rated amongst the best at this price point. I can tell you though that I paint on photoshop, watch movies, play games and browse the net feeling that I have a gorgeous display making everything look at its best in any occassion.

Bought 2 of these 'refurbished' at a substantial discount from new price. There is no way I can distinguish these from new: the packaging was seemingly original Dell and as new, no marks or any other blemishes on either display that I can see. So overall very pleased. Very prompt delivery. Displays are working in a DisplayPort MST daisy-chain. I'm not a professional graphics/photo worker so I can't comment on colour balance etc. but for home/office work they are excellent. The only negative is a slight darkening along the bottom edge. But this is only noticeable under low light with a dark even background. Overall, very happy.

This is an excellent and elegant looking monitor. The screen is perfect for the definition advertised and there is no bleed, etc. I was pleased enough to later buy another, to make it two. The size is perfect, and probably the biggest you can use with the ability to easily rotate. I generally have one in landscape and the other in portrait mode. Using portrait mode is a revelation I really don't understand why people don't use it more, that, and two screens. Virtually every commercial job is enhanced with two screens. I connected the two monitors to a Dell XPS 15 9550 laptop. To do this I bought two HDMI - HDMI 1 mtr cables from Wilko at £2 each, and made all three screens work independently by interfacing them with a StarTech.com Thunderbolt 3 to Dual HDMI Adapter - 4K 30Hz - (Windows Only Compatible). I'm running with Windows 10 and it was plug and play. (My system is not 4K, but the adapter works anyway). When I added the adapter there was just some simple tweaking to do, because the adapter had diverted sound from the laptop speakers to the non existent speakers in the monitors, so I had to reverse the process. In summary I'm very happy, however I'm going to give the monitors 4 stars for 4 reasons. First it is the flimsiest Dell monitor I have ever had (and I've been using them for 30 years), it's barely just robust enough for it to be acceptable, and for me to not want to return it. I would have preferred it just a little more rigid and heavier. Second: When I physically rotate a screen, my computer doesn't automatically rotate the picture to match. This is because there is no accelerometer built in. Previously in my experience Dell monitors could do this. When you consider cheap Shamsung mobiles can do this and it’s 2017!!! Third - No HDMI cable included. Make sure you buy one if you plan to use HDMI. The two supplied cables that come with each monitor were useless to me. Fourth: Dell's help team are very friendly and try their best to help, but are not particularly knowledgeable. I guess they are used to Corporate buyers, who know what they're buying; and who buy in bulk. The simplest questions trip these people up. Example: This monitor come in two flavours; this is the DJX4R (with comes with a stand); on the other hand Dell Part number 210-AHJX is supplied without a stand. Simple. At the time of buying this wasn't too clear on their website and the specs were presented in different formats so the monitors appeared to be slightly different. The dimensions looked different, and of course I wanted them to be identical. They "are" actually identical, apart from the stand. It took over 10 minutes for them to say they "thought" it was because one had a stand and the other didn't, and days to confirm the screens were identical. They were also stumped for a correct answer on how to assemble two monitors and this laptop to show three different screens. This supplier is excellent by the way and both monitors were delivered faster than promised. Microsoft's help desk are excellent too, but of course you can’t expect any answers on hardware as I've described here. Update: Its now 26 June 2018, and I have experienced no problems with the above set up, running 8-12 hours a day/365. I don't move them and I don't ever switch them off. They power down to standby very quickly when I turn the laptop off. I never switch them off, because (I suspect) to repair/replace the on/off switch is to replace.

Excellent monitor which runs at native resolution of 1920x1080. Screen quality is perfect with no dead pixels, stand is brilliant. Comes with HDMI and DisplayPort cables allowing easy setup. Does not include speakers and very thin bezel means the Dell AC511 soundbar can't clip on like it did with previous versions of this monitor. However I found that a strip of Velcro on both soundbar and stand (behind the monitor) means the soundbar is attached and hidden which suits me (the soundbar is more than powerful enough not to be muffled).

I have been looking for a near bezel less monitor and this is it! Great aesthetically and a super quality display. Great connectivity and the inclusion of USB 3.0 ports on the monitor are a boon as I can plug in USB devices (scanner in my case) and pen drives with out having to bend down to the PC case. I will most definitely purchase a second screen to replace my BenQ monitor (served me well) but absolutely love this Dell monitor. Fantastic product.

I bought this to replace a faulty screen that was nearly 3 years old and am disappointed in light of the glowing reviews I found.In default mode the picture is fine for photos and films but really not good for type or office applications like excel. I changed it to 'paper' mode and the output is acceptable but not superb as one might be led to believe. I'm sure that technically it performs well and meets the criteria set by a reviewer of monitors but it fails in the final analysis- just not properly designed for an office. Sad really.

Like price, style and image quality. Good accurate colour reproduction with decent contrast.Like less, the fairly strong "glow" in screen corners which, in the main, becomes unnoticable once you have something else to look at on screen.Only one HDMI input on this model so have had to use an HDMI switcher for my two sources. Happily that all works too so all good for now.

Bought a "Like New" package damaged on this Dell monitor (U2417H) for a lower price, and I received a monitor that was broken; screen-burn-in, hazy and washed out, pixel problems, and bottom right corner of screen had a shadow. Should've never been sold in the first place. Returned for refund.

Dopo quasi 4 anni di utilizzo quotidiano di questo monitor penso di poter fare una recensione ragionata e basata sul lungo periodo.Design minimale ed elegante, plastiche di buona qualità, molto comoda la regolazione in altezza, colori ben saturi (se venite da un monitor di LCD vecchia generazione come me, il salto sarà abissale, come passare da un Galaxy S2 a un Galaxy S21 Ultra), i colori carne sono molto naturali (critici per molti schermi, dove risultano troppo rossi o troppo gialli), ottima uniformitià (niente chiazze o aloni luminosi), non risulta mai affaticante.Il difettuccio? Un hot pixel!Appena acceso, ho notato un pixel bianco sempre acceso sulla sinistra della schermo, a metà altezza. Non l'ho mai restituito, pur potendo, perchè si nota solo all'avvio del PC su sfondo nero, perchè mi scocciava tremendamente l'idea di doverlo smontare e reimpacchettare, e poi coi pannelli LCD non ci sono garanzie di sorta (in teoria poteva arrivarmi un altro monitor con 5 dead pixel anzichè uno) per cui me lo sono tenuto. Ho provato a sbloccarlo con dei software appositi che promettono di sbloccare i pixel bloccati su un colore alternando rapidamente dei colori in successione su un'area ristretta dello schermo, ma senza successo.Ormai nemmeno ci penso più a questo pixel, è una cosa che nell'uso comune non dà alcun fastidio (dà molto più fastidioso avere aloni luminosi in alto e in basso, difetto comune con certi monitor), ma lo scrivo perchè è giusto segnarlo.Ho dato comunque le 5 stelle perchè a parte questo peccatuccio veniale, è veramente un bel monitor e che non costa molto.Promosso.Voto: A-

J'avais déjà un écran Dell semblable (mais avec une résolution plus élevée). Je recherchais un 2eme écran pour avoir les deux en parallèle et j'ai pris celui-ci car son design était proche du premier.J'en suis très satisfait!A noter que lorsque les 2 écrans n'ont pas la même résolution, la souris se retrouve décalée en hauteur lorsqu'elle passe d'un écran à l'autre. C'est vrai même si les deux écrans font physiquement la même taille. C'est logique puisque la position de la souris est calculée en pixels et non pas en centimètres, mais c'est important de l'avoir en tête au moment du choix pour ne pas être déçu ensuite (et c'est vrai quelque soit la marque des écrans)!

Maravilloso monitor. Bonito diseño y excelente calidad de imagen a un precio muy razonable para un Ultrasharp de 23.8 pulgadas. Es una evolución del modelo anterior, el U2414H, y corrige algunos de sus problemas:- El marco es aún más delgado que el modelo anterior. Es realmente muy estrecho por los cuatro lados (el logo de DELL del borde inferior es enano).- El color, los grises, la luminosidad, el ángulo de visión... todo es fantástico. El sangrado típico de los IPS es muy poco apreciable en este modelo. Viene "calibrado de fábrica", que seguro que es más que suficiente para una gran parte de los usuarios. Posiblemente el panel sea igual o muy parecido al modelo anterior.- Cuenta con un hub de 4 USB 3.0. Dos de ellos se encuentran ahora en el lateral izquierdo, mucho más accesibles. Pueden configurarse para funcionar cuando el monitor está en modo de espera, así que se pueden conectar a él teclado y ratón, y responderán aunque el ordenador esté suspendido. Uno de los USBs laterales puede cargar un móvil u otro dispositivo, a un máximo de 2.4A, incluso con el ordenador apagado.- Los controles no son ya "táctiles", sino que son botones "físicos" que hacen "click", mucho más usables. El "lomo" inferior, donde están estos botones, está ligeramente inclinado, lo que hace que sean más accesibles.- Tiene cantidad de contectores: HDMI, DisplayPort, mini DisplayPort y salida de auriculares.- La peana, como en todos los Ultrasharp, es fántastica y permite colocar el monitor a una altura cómoda sin necesidad de usar un elevador (o paquete de folios). Es sólida y lo suficientemente pesada (aunque no es de metal) y se puede rotar e inclinar con toda libertad. Es muy fácil de montar y desmontar.- Consume solo 19W; tiene calificación energética "A".Tened en cuenta que hay 3 versiones de este modelo:- El U2417H (el modelo que comento), viene con la peana que rota, gira, sube y baja.- El U2417HA viene con un brazo que se agarra a la mesa en lugar de la peana.- El U2417HJ viene también con la peana, pero esta integra un cargador inalámbrico QI/PMA.

Dopo un'estenuante ricerca, ma indirizzata sul mondo DELL, mi sono deciso a comprare questo modello. Leggendo molte recensioni, tutti elogiavano il modello u2414h che inizialmente ero tentato a comprare, ma a quanto pare da qualche anno a questa parte, il pannello di quel modello è stato sotituito con un altro modello che ora non sembra essere al top. Nemmeno questo schermo dalle recensioni negative che ho letto qui su Amazon si presentava bene, ma andando a leggere recensioni anche estere, ho capito che era la soluzione su cui ripiegare a questo prezzo (225 euro).Io ho acquistato questo schermo per attaccarlo ad un portatile, con un uso svariato, che va dalla modellazione 3d e disegno grafico, a qualche gioco sporadico e semplice lettura e navigazione web. Ho acquistato lo schermo dal venditore terzo Webcom s.r.l. il quale ha spedito il tutto dopo una settimana circa dal mio aver effettuato l'ordine. Se pur rispondano ai messaggi molto velocemente e sono sempre stati cordiali e disponibili, darei una stella se non zero, al modo in cui è stato imballato il pacco, o meglio dire, il come non è stato imballato il pacco, come vedete nelle foto; come lo vedete così mi è arrivato. Zero imballo ulteriore a proteggere anche la scatola che conteneva lo schermo, con qualche piccola ammaccatura anche sul pacco stesso. ( sono un po' allibito da ciò).Fortunatamente lo schermo comunque non presentava nessun danno dentro, e collegandolo funziona tutto perfettamente.Sullo schermo c'è poco da dire, perchè le schede tecniche stanno tutte sui vari siti più tecnici dove si possono leggere queste info, piuttosto le sensazioni soggettive, sono ottime. Il mio modello non presenta eccessivo backlightning in nessun angolo o parte dello schermo, e sono davvero soddisfatto anche dei suoi neri a tal proposito. La qualità costruttiva è davvero ottima, se pur dalle foto potrebbe essere fuorviante il fatto che molte parti sono in plastica e non metallo satinato come si potrebbe pensare. Se pur di plastica, è una plastica molto dura, ed assemblata bene senza spazi dati da un cattivo incastro tra le parti.I colori sono un NI. mi spiego meglio; io uso questo schermo attaccandoci un portatile attraverso l'HDMI. Il portatile è uno Zenbook Pro UX501VW, schermo 4k, con dei colori davvero meravigliosi, e io che faccio anche stampe fotografiche a volte, ho notato come le foto stampate sono davvero fedeli a quel che mi ritrovo sullo schermo del portatile. Mentre invece avendoci entrambi gli schermi vicini, si nota molto come lo schermo DELL abbia una mancanza di contrasto del colore, e risulta perciò poco fedele per un lavoro di tipo fotografico o che comunque richiede alla fine una stampa. Non so se le cose possano cambiare facendo una calibrazione del monitor, ma secondo me è più una questione di pannello che di regolazione. Io per ora, per avvicinarmi il più possibile ai colori dello schermo del mio portatile uso il preset sRGB.Una nota stonata che comunque ho imparato ormai dopo due settimane a gestire è il fastidioso power save mode, e cioè lo schermo che si disattiva se non si muove il puntatore dopo un po' di tempo. Questo per quanto riguarda il collegamento ad un portatile, riguarda semplicemente le impostazioni del proprio portatile, che se impostato che lo schermo si vada a disattivare dopo un tot di minuti, allora anche lo schermo esterno si andrà a disattivare, e se si disattiva perde poi al riavvio il segnale del portatile, e il portatile a sua volta starà in modalità proiezione sul solo schermo secondario e vi troverete a dover riavviare il computer perchè non potrete riaccendere ne lo schermo del portatile, ne lo schermo secondario. Quindi per ovviare a questo problema, io ho tolto qualsiasi disattivazione dal mio portatile, il che porta a non far disattivare mai anche lo schermo secondario.Per avere la miglior resa, bisogna fare un piccolo accorgimento. Stare ad almeno 50-60 cm dallo schermo. Di meno porterà a vedere i pixel, e si avrà una cattiva sensazione complessiva visiva. Quindi se non avete possibilità di una tale distanza schermo-occhi, consiglio di scendere come pollici nella scelta dello schermo.In conclusione consiglio sicuramente questo monitor ad un prezzo poco sopra i 200 euro, per un uso di tutti i giorni, senza avere pretese per più di quello che costa.
