Problem with most hair dye is that there is A LOT waste! And too much chemicals. This "shampoo" is a two parts hair dye mix... very economical if you have short hair and only need small amount. This product, if used properly, does give very good coverage for gray, only one treatment is needed and it lasts around 2-3 weeks. It DOES stain like all other "hair dye shampoo" on the market so use gloves and caution and common sense, don't wash your hair ahead of time, the natural oil on your scalp will prevent the dye from staining your scalp, but not forehead, area around your ears and the back of your neck. This hair dye IS chemically based, however the natural nurishing ingridients does make my hair softer and not dried up like most of the other hair dyes. Overall, I like how I can control the amount of the dye conveniently, I like the coverage and how long the color lasted and I like the texture of my hair after the treatment.

Such an amazing color shampoo, I did exactly as the directions say, all stubborn white hair got color. Next time I’ll try with wet hair, cause I think it will be much easier to spread it on. The only thing that I didn’t like is the red color, it’s not brown, it had a lot of red in it, but I am so tired of coloring my hair that I don’t care about it, I can live with reddish tone in my hair.. lol. Also I put the color on for 15 min, it make my hair so dark, so next time I’ll do 19 minutes . I hope what they say about the ingredients is correct. I didn’t smell any ammonia or chemicals in it, didn’t like the smell but it didn’t bother me much. On the whole it was a great experience and I am not going back to hair dye again. I hope it helps for skeptical people like me.

I was looking for a simpler alternative to covering up my gray roots (other than needing to mix color, developer, etc.) and came across color depositing shampoo. After reading a number of reviews I settled on this brand and I am happy I did. The use was as simple as shampooing your hair...I did use baby oil around my hair line to make sure it didn't bleed over and after color conditioner so the color would last and my hair wasn't dried out. I am really surprised with how well it covered my roots (I have some stubborn gray hair) and then evened out the color through my hair. I will definitely use this again, if not to color my gray, then to refresh my color.

I’ve been dying my hair for years at home. This is by far my favorite dye in terms of ease of use. Start with clean dry hair, section it, put on gloves, apply the dye (no mixing involved), let it sit for 15 minutes, wash your hair, & you’re set! Pros: super easy to apply! Just pump it into your gloved hand, massage into a section of hair, wait 15, rinse, and you’re good to go! I love how fast it is to do my whole head of waist length hair! It doesn’t bleed all over my stuff nearly as bad as most box dyes. It has a smell, but it’s not nearly as strong & off putting as box dyes. I LOVE that I can dye a full head of long thick hair 3 times with 1 bottle & still have a bit left over. Also you can reuse the same bottle until it’s empty & only pump out what you need, so you aren’t wasting nearly as much as you would with box dye. It covers greys with ease in 15 minutes. Cons: I so wish it came in more colors (especially a blue black). Color can be a bit flat. It’s a bit drying (just deep condition after washing it out & you’re fine). Obviously it’s black dye, so it does stain stuff but that’s not specific to this brand only. All in all, a solid product. I just wish they had more colors!

I bought this product as a “what have I got to lose” purchase. I hate dying my hair, mixing color, smell, chemicals, getting messy, etc. This product is LEGIT! It doesn’t stink like normal hair dye, MUCH easier to apply and wash off, doesn’t stain skin as bad as normal hair dye (it has to stain a little because it wouldn’t last long if not). And it honestly leaves my hair feeling much healthier than other chemical dyes. It is simple pump, massage in, wait, and wash out. I left mine on for 20 mins because I have stubborn grays and thick dark hair. Also, I did accidentally get some dye on my white cabinets and wiped off a few minutes later and it did not stain the cabinet. Unlike other dyes I’ve used. Yes, buy it and see for yourself! I don’t always write reviews but I knew this one was going to get one!

I Put a little Vaseline on my hairline to be safe but I'm not sure I needed it cause it didn’t dye my scalp at all even the places not treated with Vaseline . Used the gloves provided mixed into hair thoroughly and took a shower after 20 min of sitting. Came out looking natural and even , hair felt good , didn’t burn scalp . And I’m pretty sure this one bottle will last me at least a year lol I have short hair .

I have used a brand like this before with the same hair model on the label. The old version before was great with no hair loss, But This New version with same label brought me to tears. My hair is already thin and it broke off terribly while rising out product. Then it came out in clumps. This is very traumatic after battling cancer a few recent years ago. I am throwing it away and I DO NOT RECOMMEND!!! Please be careful everyone who tries it even accidentally before reading all the reviews like I did.

Works ok if left on for the recommended amount of time. A bit more reddish brown than dark brown. Have to leave in longer for a darker shade but can irritate scalp. Hard not to get on skin. Make sure to wipe off skin surrounding area well or it will stain skin for a few days. Smells a bit weird.
