Philips LED E14 Small Edison Screw Mini Globe Light Bulb, 5.5 W (40 W) - Warm White

Good quality light bulbs. Bought as replacement. No problems.

These are great, a much better price than elsewhere and give a similar light to normal bulbs and not being over bright like many LED's. Update, of the 10 I purchased (5 in each light), one of them gave up after about 9 months, started flickering and making noises but (touch wood) the rest are still going strong, so it seems rather hit and miss.

Bought to replace the old-style fluorescent low energy bulbs in a five-bulb fitting in the hall. Finally gave in to many complaints about the lights taking too long to get up to full brightness, and still being fairly dim then. There are cheaper bulbs on the market, but it felt worth going for a brand like Philips - too soon yet to say how the bulbs last, but they look good - well finished, a little smaller than the originals, stylish. Once in place, the transformation was remarkable. Instant on and with five of these, the all verges on requiring sunglasses - shows up every bit of dirt on the carpet, but I'm told it makes it far better for applying makeup etc. in the mirror. Remarkable that a total of just 27.5 watts can give such an impressively bright light.

Having realised just how many bulbs and downlights I have and are on at the same time almost on a weekly basis thought, apart from getting the the people concerned to switch them off I might be able to save instead of waste both energy and cash by switching to LED bulbs A little apprehensive as I was u der the impression the light would be dimmer Boy I could not have been more wrong these lights are bright, very bright and what I would call a clean light Not sure the claims that rheymlast as long as they do are true but time will tell and I am one happy man knowing that this was/ is a great idea, now in a short space of time I have changed not just one room but ALL in my three bedrooms house

Awful- it arrived but it’s broken? What’s the point if that? What a waste of money!!!!

So happy to be clearing my house of inefficient tungsten that can also be a danger in lamps that a child can reach. These bulbs have a pleasant warm light, yet easily cool enough to touch when switched on (though i'm sure some might object) LEDs are the (current) way forward and Philips seem to be offering reliable LED bulbs with the right characteristics that last well.

Installed in a bed side lamp and it's perfect so far. It's brighter than the 40w bulb it replaced, but not so bright as to be intrusive at bed time. It seems to be a quality bulb with a good solid build quality. The light is a nice warm colour and defuses well around the dome. No buzzing from the bulb. Only negative is the packaging that was a bit hard to get into being a sealed plastic. What was wrong with a good old fashioned cardboard bulb box? Overall very good. I would recommend and hope it will last for years to come.
