Str-342-9 20 Sheet, White

I've seen a lot of reviews for this brand and model of paper and none of them (that I saw) mentioned its marker worthiness, so I was reluctant to buy this UNTIL I met an artist who did very saturated alcohol marker art and suggested me this paper, so I went for it. Usually I use W&N extra smooth Bristol board for marker art, but it's been harder to find for a decent price. This is great paper for markers, takes the inks really well, and blending is really nice, just as nice as W&N extra smooth. It IS off white, and that's only noticeable if next to, say, printer paper, but this isn't a downside, just a fact to mention. Fineliners glide nicely over the surface, and pencils haven't left any dark erased or embossed lines like with some papers. I used distress oxide ink to blend in the background (see photo) and it blends very smoothly. To get the distressed effect I splash the oxide ink with water and the paper held up like a champ, very sturdy. It performs just as well as my usual brand, so I'm really happy with the purchase. Definitely recommend this if you use alcohol markers.

Smooth mixed media paper, quite good and doesn't seem to bleed through or buckle. This is a bit like the paper/card you get in the ranger Dylusions sketchbooks. It doesn't have a tooth like watercolour. If you don't like working on smooth surfaces this might not be for you.

I use this a lot with coloured pencils. It has a gran to it and you can get quite a few layers. Price excellent for the amount of sheets as a lot of gummed pads only have 12 - 15 sheets. fast delivery. I usually wait until there is a sale on as it makes the paper even more economical.

This paper is my favourite for graphite and colour pencils but always arrives damaged on the corners. Shame as I can’t get this paper this size anywhere else for the price. I have to cut it down to A3 for my bigger projects.
