Bothy Threads Cross Stitch Kit - Love Heart

What a beautiful design this is!As a beginner stitcher, I was worried this might be too advanced for me, but I've managed it fairly easily. The instructions are clear and very detailed - perfect for the beginner stitcher they explain everything from the first stitch through to washing the finished piece. The kit comes with plenty of thread - I was perhaps a bit overcautious about using up all the small pieces I created, but I've ended up with roughly 2 lengths of each colour left over!I've been working on it for a few hours a days for a week and have finished the main blocks of colour - I'm working on the back stitching at the moment. It's really satisfying to see all the random blobs of colour transform into the flowers and butterflies as the back stitching goes down :)

Title says it all.I find that all kits from Bothy Threads are fantastic.This one was so easy and quick do do as, in spite of the look of it, around half of the aida is not worked on.I don't usually like the detailing part to finish it off, but I loved this part of it. It looks realy pretty when the corss stitiching is finished. Then when you put the backstitching, it looks wow.Made it for my daughter's wedding and she'd bowled over with it as well.

I am finding this very easy to do, and love seeing it grow. I also like the randomness of the style.

Bought for my parents 50th Wedding Anniversary, this is still a work in progress - I used to do lots of cross stitch about 20 years ago but haven't picked up needle and thread for a long time. It is still a work in progress many months later, it is a complex piece and I have worked on adding various personal details which are going to take a while. I am now thinking it might be ready for Christmas!I photocopied and enlarged the chart, taped the copy together and coloured it in, which is so much easier to 'read' than the supplied version - I also changed the included aida fabric for a soft cream linen which looks fabulous. If using the enclosed aida (or any fabric you are working on) it is worth taping the raw edges up (I used soft masking tape and it moves with the fabric perfectly.)The chart has been thoughtfully and well designed, definitely a company I will use again when the urge to stitch something strikes again.A long term project, I know my parents will be delighted with it once I have finished it.

This was my first attempt at a cross stitch; it's really easy to follow and the finished piece looks fantastic. As there are so many little details you practice starting and finishing a lot, which is good to get used to! Took me 2 weeks to complete so not long to achieve a finished product!

Lovely design and easy to follow instructions, however i had a few issues with my order. Half my design was actually missing which was very frustrating (though they responded within two days and sent me the rest of the design with a hand written note). The tapestry needle had a very, very small eye so i had to use another one.. not the end of the world but was again slightly frustrating. The silver thread is awkward to work with, and so far doesn't look great. I still think the design is lovely, and i'm enjoying completing it! If you are considering ordering this product, i still recommend it, though perhaps swap silver thread for a light Grey.

Excellent quality product and value for money. Delivery was very quick. Purchased on Monday, received Tuesday. Already half way through making it and it's not even the weekend yet! :)

Having bought the Love Blossoms kit to make for my daughters wedding I bought this kit to make as a gift for another wedding. The kit contains everything you need - Aida, thread, instructions and two charts one for the cross stitch and one for the finishing off - both of which are very clear. I’m not keen on using metallic thread but it does add a lovely dimension to the finished picture as do the beads. This is quite an intricate picture due to the numerous small sections of cross stitch and the finishing off takes as long, if not longer, than the initial work however it is well worth persevering as the finished picture is beautiful. I would thoroughly recommend this kit and the company
