Brilliant
These things are brilliant! Such a good idea - why has no-one done it before?! One of the old casters on my home office chair collapsed, so I was browsing Amazon for a new chair and these wheels popped up. They looked like a great option and for a reasonable price (much less than buying a new chair) - so I went for them. They arrived promptly and were easy to fit - replacing all the old casters. Now my chair glides effortlessly - much more smoothly than with the original casters. When the time comes to replace this chair I will simply move these casters to whatever new chair I buy; unless it has identical casters already fitted! I can’t recommend these things highly enough.

WOW!!!
I never knew a chair wheel could be this smooth and this quiet. We just installed wooden floors and wanted caster wheels that would not mark the floor. These wheels are perfect. They will support a heavy weight and do not make a sound. The only "problem" is that they are possibly too smooth. If one is not paying attention, the chair can "run away" a bit. Careful!!!

Proper wheels
Proper wheels, move freely and metal construction makes they very strong. I'm heavy and I got fed up breaking the wheels on my chair, they would of been OK on a hard floor but I'm on carpet and they kept getting stuck and plastic broke when I pushed. These are all steal with a hard rubber solid tyre, much stronger and with ball bearings in the wheel and on the rotation they should last much longer I will add to this review in six months with an update.

Does not fit all (IKEA) chairs!
These wheels are probably great quality, but after receiving them, I noticed that they do NOT fit my IKEA office chair (which is probably the most popular office chair IKEA makes)! The stem is thus not quite "universal". It is likely that IKEA uses its own stem sizes, but it is nevertheless important information. Will try to return these ones. However, since they do not ship to Switzerland, and I had to pick them up last time I was in the UK instead, it would probably cost me as much to send them back again as to just order some other ones...Update: I contacted the company and they offered outstanding customer service (neither refund nor shipping was an issue whatsoever). Despite the blunder, I would certainly recommend the product since there is no doubt that they are very good quality indeed!
