This was only the second time I've used a tool to make depth easier to gauge, I've previously used without. As its description states this is a bespoke tool to aid screwing into drywall to the correct depth, so as the screw is not too deep that there is a hole/gap and not too proud that the plasterers trowel catches This tool does indeed make it a bit easier, and for those that only do this fairly infrequently, (like myslef) less likely to drive the screw too far into, and through the drywall. I guess the main thing is that it speeds the process up, once you're adjusted to its feel (just make sure you line up and go in straight), and you've got the depth set correctly. I may not have had the depth quite right (or the bevel wasn't tightened sufficiently and the depth changed?) but there were some very minor circle impact marks on the drywall around the screw head. This didn't seem enough to affect the plasterer making a clean job of skimming over. The only real thing to remember, which I failed to do, as I got used to it, is when i swapped bits (to do another task), and to an adaptor without depth limiter, I then forgot to swap back and drove the screw all the way through. This adaptor allows for a change of driver bit, for when the head goes. It comes with a pozi size 2 bit already fitted, this didn't seem too bad quality, and has so far lasted ok. It allows for adjustment of depth, although after some use this required pliers to adjust (if need to reset depth) as it had tightened beyond finger tight. I'd suggest using a drill driver in preference to an impact driver, and if possible, prior to getting going on the wall or ceiling, do a trial on an off cut, once depth looks set, and then tweak to ideal, and retest. This was sent from abroad, and took a bit longer to arrive than it originally suggested on Amazon, but all in all not too long considering. It came in a card backed plastic fronted packaging, which was then in the normal oversized huge Amazon cardboard box, suitable for carrying about 100 times as many items, and along with much brown paper/cardboard to cushion this metal item inside the box. This price seemed reasonable to me compared to some other similar adaptors I saw.

Well made, robust, does exactly what it says, easy to adjust and the adjustment holds. Works well. Very happy.

Brilliant little tool for controlling depth of screw below surface of material. Wish I had bought it a long while ago. Screwdriver bit is inter changeable with 25mm hexagonal bits. Arrived in stated dates.

If used on an impact gun it won't lock and just keeps sinking them way too deep. Works good on a normal screw gun
