Exciting Conclusion to Science Fiction Trilogy
The Undertow Trilogy comes to an amazing conclusion in The Heart of the Storm. Lyric has returned to land after being held captive by the insane Prime Minerva until she managed to kill her and become a very reluctant Prime herself. She gathers some very unlikely allies and encounters a brand new enemy who might just be enough to wipe out everyone if she can do the unthinkable and turn enemies into allies.Lyric has gone through a major change during the course of this series. From a carefree, live-for-today kind of kid to someone who has to make decisions that will cost and save millions of lives. Luckily, she has her friends especially Bex and a variety of allies. She also has her parents while so many of the other hybrids have lost theirs. There was a bit of romance in this one but there wasn't time for much between the gathering allies and fighting invaders. Lyric makes the decision that is right for her about her love triangle.Readers will enjoy this fascinating science fiction/dystopia trilogy and enjoy getting to know Lyric and all the various kinds of beings who come from the sea.

Altogether a good buy for fans of the series.
I loved how the author introduced a world where we are introduced to another people from the same planet as ours and how society may react. This last book of the trilogy brings things to a good conclusion in line with the style of the previous two. For reference, I’m a middle aged adult and had expectations for it to read like “young adult” fiction. Also given that it was YA, I was happy the romantic scenes didn’t get weird like some do; I’d rather there be a good story. I’d be ok buying this series for a pre-teen.Item was delivered quickly, in perfect condition. I read each book in a day, so the fast delivery was critical. I would’ve gone with Kindle version, but these are actually my daughter’s books and she wanted hardcover.

Amazing!!!
I thoroughly enjoyed this entire series, and am sad that it has come to an end. The characters each had their own traits, be it a good trait, or be it a bad trait. A world of amazing creatures; human and Alpha alike. What it all boiled down to for me was that love trumps hate in a world where the populations are so diverse that all anyone wants despite the hate mongers; is unity. My opinion of course, but read this series and see what you can get out of it.

I loved this trilogy!
Mom brought this to my attention. She handed me the first book, telling me she thought I would really like it. Like it?.....Nope....I LOVE it!! It took me a week to get through the first book; but only because I had very little time to devote to reading that week. But once I read it....I couldn't wait to read the second one. I told Mom I was planning on buying the next two on here, and SCORE! She had already bought the second one, so before I even cracked that book open, I was on here ordering this one. I had finished reading the second one when this one arrived, and I read the last one in record time! Kind of sad that this was final book, but it was still a great series!

Good but a little too small
This was a good conclusion to this series, but I was honestly a little disappointed. First, the battle was crap. I mean, you had awesome battle scenes in 1 and 2, but not this one. 2, I really wanted more Fathom. You only saw him in the last few chapters and it made him feel like a minor character. Other than that, pretty good.

I absolutely loved the first 2 books of this series and counted ...
I absolutely loved the first 2 books of this series and counted down the days till I could finish the series. I feel very empty reading the final book, almost like Mr.Buckley hurried thru the story. As a lover of this series I feel so let down that Lyric and Fathom don't have the happily ever after that they BOTH deserved. Really, the ending could not have been more of a let down for me personally. Also, Fathom deserved more than just the last chapter or 2 to have been written about his character. I highly recommend anyone to read this series, I personally would have loved a happier ending, but that is what makes reading so great, you can become so personally invested in a fantasy

Something different
I enjoyed it. It was action packed though there were moments that were pretty random and didn't fit in well with the story.

Loved the trilogy, but...
Got the first book as a gift and got hooked to the characters. Devoured the second book and loved most of this third and last chapter except the ending. Felt very obviously rushed.
