The Best of Black Sabbath

For me Sabbath are the best band full stop. As a rock and metal fan of 40 years having bought and listened to countless number of l.p. s and cd s over the years. I have recently returned to Ozzy Geezer Iommi and Ward .again . Why? This double cd collection reminds me of Sabbaths depth of music far beyond the obvious big riffs and classic songs that most metal or rock fans will know. Sabbath I had amost forgotten remain the pinnacle of what powerful rock music should be. Power in the guitar work, power in the sheer buzz and deeper emotional hit you get from their music. Geezer lyrics are another delight. Far deeper and wiser than you might imagine . The two discs in this fine collection contain so many highlights it's literally an embarrassment of riches for any fan. The quieter guitar pieces offer nice contrast to some of the famous doomy tracks. Sabbath were an amazing mix of big riffs , powerful drumming, Ozzy s unique haunting vocals and sheer song writing class that makes them a national treasure and arguable yes the best ever rock band.

The best of Black Sabbath, you won't be disappointed. Ozzy the legend, RIP Prince of Darkness xx I love this album, and make sure you turn the volume up.

Everybody knows this classic band so again that's one of my Christmas presents...

Excellent entertainment

On the whole, Sabbath passed me by right into my 50s,despite being a rocker at heart. I know, how can I possibly claim to be a rocker and ignore the Sabs? Well anyways, one day I finally decided to put this omission to rights, and get a Sabbath compilation. And this one is the perfect introduction. 3 to 5 tracks from each of their first few albums, slightly fewer tracks from the Dio and Gillan albums, it's a great introduction, and makes me want to dig deeper. Which is "mission accomplished" for any compilation album. Just make sure it's turned up good and loud. And for a truly mind blowing experience, I recommend listening it in the dark on headphones. Especially the early stuff. O no no please god help me!!!

What's not to like about Black Sabbath? Buying this album took me back years like listening to the vinyl album of mum & dads record player & cranking it up so the speakers distorted (when they were out of course). Listening to it now - it's superb! There's a reason why a lot of music from the 70's was & still remains timeless. Great music never really ages & this Black Sabbath album has been put together with some classic tracks. If you like rock then buy this album. A great addition to your modern (non-vinyl) library!

I cannot stress how good this album is and Blach Sabbath seem to be the route of all metal. I had already heard tracks like Paranoid, War Pigs and Iron Man which were amazing but now I like stuff like Snowblind, Sabbath Bloody Sabbath. All the tracks on there I've listened to so far have all been rather good. If you like this then you may like other stuff I've brought. Look at reviews. It has some very old to new tracks before Ozzy Osbourne left to go solo but he was much better in Black Sabbath. Give them a listen and see what you think but I doubt you will be disappointed with this if you love rock and metal everyone.
