I never thought I'd say this but this Ironing Board almost makes Ironing a pleasure and that's coming from a man. I invested in the Brabantia Flex Guide as well. Many years ago I bought a cheap Ironing Board with the wire mesh and it put me right off this type of ironing board, so I struggled on with a tiny old board. This Ironing Board is really well made, no wobbly legs as in one other poor review. A good solid mesh top with a nice thick foam cover which I thought may hamper ironing. I was wrong, it actually makes it's easier. It is fairly heavy. Good height adjustment. It has a large working surface, so hooray, trousers fit on in one go and tops don't have to be continually moved. I also thought that trouser tops wouldn't fit over end but the width is just right. So all in all well done Brabantia. I also got it £10 cheaper than Argos buying on Amazon...

This is an excellent ironing board, I was a bit put off at the price but it is well worth the money spent! It is a strong sturdy ironing board, and it has a great height on it so even if you are over 6 feet tall you should have no problems using this ironing board. The cover of the ironing board is of top quality and has a number of features to help keep it secure and in place when ironing, so no more cover slipping off whilst you do the ironing! It is easy to put up and put away once finished with and has clips on the underside to keep the legs secure once stowed away. All in all this is a great ironing board and well worth the money spent on it.

This is a combi review, partly from me because I unwrapped it and partly from my wife who got to use it first. This item is constructed of sturdy stuff yet remains easy to carry and has a high gloss quality paint finish. We decided to spend a little more than usual on this board as our previous ones seemed to be too flimsy for the job and we probably spent more on replacement covers than was necessary. The first thing I noticed about the Brabantia was the lack of packing material around the board to prevent any damage in transit. It was simply shrunk wrapped in strong polythene, with the legs exposed and therefore I wasn't surprised to hear that some reviewers here received a bent one. However we were lucky, it does sit level on both the carpet and our tiled floor in the kitchen. It is a bit fiddly getting used to where the child locking mechanism is situated, but once you have used it a few times, it becomes easier to get your hand to it and the legs drop down with ease to your required height level. The iron stand is a great feature and means you do not have to lie it flat at rest. The cover fits very well and is kept taught in place with elastic. It is padded with foam to provide a firm but cushioned surface on which to iron and the colour is restful to the eye. I highly recommend this item and would have awarded it five stars, had it arrived with a little more packaging to protect my investment.

This was bought to replace a 12 year old workhorse that was falling to bits lately. I thought I'd go for a Brabantia as they do have a great name and all their products seem to be quality items. The ironing board - Has steel tubing legs 22mm thick with non slip caps for stability. The actual board itself is just a tad under 56 inches long which is 1.42 meters. 37 inches high and just under 19 inches wide. Not a bad size. The ironing part is 100% cotton with a foam underlay and feels good in use. The widest part of this ironing board is between the feet which is just under 19 inches or 1ft 6in. Useful to know for storage! The place where we used to store our old one is not wide enough to take this one. You can set this to seven different heights which range from 2ft 3in to 3ft 1in. So Toulouse Lautrec or Robert Wadlow will be okay using this board! The frame is lacquered preventing corrosion over time and it does have a transport lock to keep it folded. It also has a handy child lock mechanism which many don't. The iron rest is good and can be converted to either left or right handed use. They thought about the lefties for once! :) In use this is a cracking ironing board and doesn't kill your back. It's ergonomic too! Great product from Brabantia Recommended

We had just moved into a new house and were in need of an ironing board. Brabantia have a great name for household items, so we thought why not. The ironing board can be adjusted in height using the handle lock available. You just pop it on the floor and raise it up to the height required, let go of the lock handle and hey presto, it sits there. You also have a leg lock function where when you finish with it, you clip the legs into place to stop them from moving, making it really easy to move around. Oh height wise, I am 6'2", and think the maximum height is enough for me. I think really tall people may have a problem with the maximum height. Wen I say really tall, I am talking like 7 foot. Up to that height it should be OK. The top of the board, is 100% cotton, and also has a foam bit underneath. If you iron a lot I can see this foam bit getting a little soft and losing some of it's cushioning. All in all a well made product. Which sort of has a luxury feel to it.

After a rickety old tip of an ironing board, in use for the best part of 30 years, I now own this utterly delightful piece of kit! So sturdy, so easy to use, longer than the old one (so I can iron the whole trouser leg without shifting the item up and down the board). If I am being pernickety, the only thing I would wish to be different is the small lever on the right of the board where you put the iron. It gets very hot, as it would do as you rest the iron on it, and you have to use a heavy glove to shift it back to store position before you collapse the board. Apart from that, while I wouldn't say I look forward to ironing these days (what woman does! let's be honest!) it does make the task more enjoyable to do it on an ironing board seriously fit for purpose.

Great ironing board - the ice water cover looks exactly as described. The ironing board is sturdy and I have had no problem with it being 'wobbly' or 'unstable'. It has many different height adjustments and I am 196cm (6ft 5) and I am able to iron comfortably on the max setting. I would recommend to friends and family.

Wow. Ich muss sagen, dass ich richtig erleichtert bin. Warum das so ist, erläutere ich nachfolgend. Auf Amazon gibt es Kundenbewertungen, die gekauft sind. Und natürlich gibt es auch Kundenbewertungen, die emotional gefällt werden. Beide haben wenig Vorteile für den Käufer. Derzeit sind zwei Anbieter von Bügetischen auf Amazon führend: An erster Stelle Leifheit, an zweiter Stelle Brabantia. Die anderen kann man eigentlich fast vergessen, wegen kaum verfügbaren Produktvarianten und ersichtlich mangelnder Qualität. Und für diese beiden großen Marken bestehen Rezenzionen, die wirklich sehr widersprüchlich sind, und zwar eine ganze Menge. Ich habe mir unheimlich schwer getan mit der Auswahl, und mich nach mehr als sechs Wochen theoretischem Hin und Her für diesen Bügeltisch entscheiden, nachdem mir auffiel, dass die Bügelbretter von Leifheit scheinbar wirklich einige Schwächen boten, die in einigen Rezensionen genannt wurden und die nicht einfach vom Tisch zu wischen waren. Ich schaffte mir einen Überblick über fast alle Bretter... Meine Anforderungen an den Bügeltisch waren: - stabil / standfest - robust - hochwertig, gut verarbeitet - kein Plastik / Bügelbrettauflage aus Metall - nicht zu breit, nicht zu schmal - nicht zu leicht, aber auch nicht zu schwer - nicht zu teuer, aber auch nicht zu günstig - keine überflüssigen Elemente - schönes Design - verstellbar Und ich muss sagen: dieses Bügelbrett ist ein Volltreffer - damit hatte ich nicht gerechnet. Der Grund: dieses Brett eignet sich für jeden normalen, anspruchsvollen Haushalt, und ist besser als jedes Billigbrett. Es erfüllt alle genannten Anforderungen komplett. Profibügler können bestimmt nochmal 100 € drauflegen: ich glaube etwas zynisch, dass viele schlechte Rezensionen eher genau darauf abzielen, dass 50€ Bügelbretter keine High-Tech Bretter sind, und dabei vergessen wird, dass man für dieses Geld aber diese verdammt gute Qualität von Brabantia bekommt! Einzige Anmerkung zum Brett: Der Bezug kann durchaus nicht ganz so fest am Brettrand sitzen, was aber nicht heisst, dass es ein Problem ist. Man kann mit dem mitgelieferten Gummizug den Bezug festzurren, und dann hält der Bezug bestens (manche übertreiben es hier was dieses Problem betrifft indem es emotional überbewertet wird). Bügeln funktioniert damit also sehr gut. Ansonsten gibt es keine einzige negative Bemerkungen, die man nennen müsste. Ergänzender Vergleich mit Leifheit: die Leifheit Bügelbretter hatte ich kurz nach meinem Kauf im Haushaltswarengeschäft gesehen. Das Problem ist, dass diese Bretter Schwachstellen in der Verarbeitung haben, und sie auch recht bullig / sperrig wirken. Die Brabantia Bretter zeigen sich dagegen eleganter. Auch habe ich das Gefühl gehabt, dass die Bretter von Leifheit nicht so robust sind, da wichtige Teile, die stabil sein solltenh aus Plastik verarbeitet sind. Auch Elemente wie Stromstecker schienen mir mangelhaft angebracht zu sein (Abbruchgefahr). Alles in Allem empfehle ich dieses Brett mit absolut gutem Gewissen weiter. Für mich eine Erleichterung, für so wenig Geld so gute Qualität zu bekommen. Dieses Brabantia Produkt fühlt sich für mich richtig gut an.

Zunächst ein großes ACHTUNG: Der von Amazon ursprünglich gelieferte Bügeltisch stand nicht sicher auf dem Boden. Der Hersteller, den wir kontaktierten, vermutete, dass der Bügeltisch 'überlagert' sei, also zu lange und falsch gelagert sei. Wir haben den Tisch daher zurückgeschickt mit der Bitte vor der Ersatzlieferung zu untersuchen, ob der Ersatztisch einen entsprechenden Mangel aufweist. Der Amazon-Kundenservice sagte uns diese Prüfung zu. Ob die Prüfung dann tatsächlich erfolgte, können wir nicht einschätzen, da der Tisch offenbar originalverschweißt bei uns ankam. Übrigens haben andere Käufer eine vergleichbare Erfahrung gemacht, vgl. Rezensionen weiter unten. Daher unser RATSCHLAG: Bitten Sie Amazon vor der Lieferung zu prüfen, ob der Tisch stabil auf dem Boden steht. Zum Tisch selbst: Er war viele Jahre für ca. 80 Euro im Angebot. Es gibt billigere in dieser Größe. Der Preis - möglicherweise ein Indiz für die grundsätzliche Qualität des Tisches? Nachdem der Preis unter 50 Euro gesunken war, haben wir ihn erworben. Denn er ist zwar etwas schwerer als andere Tische, aber offensichtlich stabil konstruiert, und das Bügeln geht leicht von der Hand. Die Bügeleisen-Ablage kann für Links- und Rechtshänder eingestellt werden. Ansonsten ist der Tisch ohne Mätzchen. Und vor allem: Standsicherer als unsere Vorgängermodell ist er, auch weil die Füße breiter spreizen als das Brett misst.

Yes a little bit more than I’d like to spend for an ironing board but you absolutely get what you pay for! Great product. Legs are very sturdy. You don’t have to worry about the ironing board tipping. Various height levels to suit your needs.
