The "locking" tab breaks off very easy, but have managed to use it and the results take a LOT longer than what it states/shows on the video, but got roots growing with ease.

It looks great but it is very poorly designed. Firstly it is on the small side, secondly filling this with a soil mix suitable for rooting is not easily accomplished. Compacting the soil into the two halves fall doesn’t work well as it falls apart while closing around the plant making a good seal difficult. Adding and maintaining water is not practical with this design. When compared to an excellent alternative like the cup style root starting system(see second photo) sold by Lee Valley tools it is not even close. I recommend you pass on this.

Very easy to use air layering pot to create new plants.

Its a cool Product but there are a couple of area where it lacks. 1. There were no instructions at all included with the product. 2. The Latch to close them and lock it shut is plastic and very thin and easy to break, I had to use a couple of zip ties to keep them closed when the plastic latch snapped. 3. You need to realize that there are different sizes, these are small and fit branches less then half an inch in size. Make sure you get the right size for the branch you want to root.Other than those points a good and very useful addition to a gardeners toolkit!
